The door closed behind Sarah, leaving the remaining participants in stunned silence. Their minds reeled with questions and fears. What would happen to Sarah? Would she be okay? And what lay ahead for them? The clock ticked away, each second stretching out like an eternity. The participants' eyes were fixed on the door, hoping for some sign of what was happening outside. But there was nothing. Maya's sketchbook lay open on the floor, her pencil rolling away from her hand. Jack's fists were clenched, his eyes fixed on the door. Alex's face was pale, his eyes wide with fear. Ethan's expression was unreadable, his eyes fixed on the floor. The silence was oppressive, punctuated only by the sound of the clock ticking away. The participants' breathing was shallow, their hearts racing with anticipation. Suddenly, the voice from the intercom spoke up. "Participants, you will now receive a message from Participant One." "Participant One has been relocated to a safe area. You will not see her again." The participants' faces fell, their eyes welling up with tears. Jack's anger boiled over. "What do you want from us?" he demanded, his voice echoing off the walls. "Why are you doing this?" The voice from the intercom didn't respond. Instead, it simply stated, "The experiment will continue. You will receive further instructions shortly." The participants looked at each other, their faces etched with fear and uncertainty. What lay ahead for them? Would they survive the experiment? As they waited, the clock ticked away, each second stretching out like an eternity.
