April stirred awake, her eyelids heavy with sleep. The warm glow of morning sunlight filtered through the curtains, casting soft shadows across the room. She groaned softly, shifting on the bed, but as her eyes adjusted, she froze. Richard was sitting on the couch he normally slept on. Fully dressed. And glaring at her. Her eyebrows knitted together.
