The sound of the front door slamming echoed through the vast of Richard’s mansion as he stormed in, his jaw clenched tightly, his mind replaying the image of April laughing with another man. His steps were quick, his anger radiating off him like a fire ready to consume everything in its path. Glenn, who had been his family butler for a long time before he began working for Richard, glanced up from the television in the corner of the room, immediately sensing the tension in his boss’s posture. He stood up, smoothing down his jacket, and hurried toward Richard. “Mr Dowell,” Glenn began cautiously, his hands clasped in front of him, “I assure you, these things have a way of blowing over. The public always moves on to the next scandal. Everything is going to die down sooner than expected.”
