Hospital Room
The door clicked open, and April turned her head weakly. Her face lit up when she saw Gina rush in, panting, her arms full of bags.
“April!” Gina gasped, her voice trembling with worry as she placed the bags on the table.
“Oh my God, April, are you okay? I came as fast as I could!”
April managed a weak smile. “Gina, I’m fine… well, sort of.”
“Sort of? Are you serious right now?” Gina shot back, pulling up a chair and sitting beside her.
“I heard from people in our department that the CEO carried some woman out of the office building, and I was terrified it might be you. I called you a million times, but you didn’t pick up! I had to go to your department and practically beg for answers!”
