Chapter 2: Amy

I hadn't wanted to come to this damn party. I had begged to be left behind, but the man had found me because a witch had ratted me out. I had been given to him on a platter like some sacrifice to a deity. Nothing about me wanted to be a part of this. My friend, Cassandra, had told me to go to this place that was supposed to be a good place to meet someone of my caliber. Someone that would be what I was into. She said that Club Oasis was the place to meet Alphas for a woman that was into ABO and had a massive primal kink. But I hadn't thought I would meet a brute like him. She hadn't warned me about Alpha's like this. He wasn't like the ones I had read about. He was animalistic and brutish. Everything about him was hard and rough lines. He had not a single bone of compassion in him. I had wanted to tell him 'no', but he had pulled me along and collared me like I was his dog. Usually, I would be down for the whole collar and leash thing, but not with a man like this. Not with a man that disrespected it. I peered up at Christian, angry that he had brought me to this party and treated me like some w***e that meant little to him. I spit in his face, and he slapped me across the cheek. I hated him. Absolutely hated him. I stomped on his foot, and he suddenly grabbed my throat and slammed me against a wall. This was it. This was how I was going to die. I clenched my eyes shut and waited for my death. I thought about all of the times that I had wanted this. That I had dreamed of being taken by a damn Alpha like some naïve child that knew nothing of what it would be like. This dark fantasy that I shouldn't have been drawn to like a bee to honey. It wasn't until I heard a deep growl, snarl, and the pressure being lessoned from my windpipe that I knew I was safe. A hand slammed beside my head, and I squeaked, scared of what, or who, was pressed against me. A long slow sniff, running along my neck to my ear sent a shiver down my body and sent heat pooling between my thighs. A low growl rumbled in my ear as I heard claws drag down the wall beside my head. My chest rose and fell in quickened breaths as heat from their body covered mine. I had no idea who it was, but I knew for a fact it wasn't Christian. In fact, Christian was gone. The metal collar snapped from my neck, and I could suddenly swallow like a heavy weight had been lifted from my soul. "Why are you here?" His voice was rough and ragged in my ear as the music faded into the background, no longer being of importance to me. I slowly opened my eyes and still couldn't make out who he was. I only knew he was tan, muscular, solid, and wearing a black shirt. "Who's asking?" Another growl vexed my ear and made me shiver and swallow hard. Why was it so damn sexy? His growls were almost like purrs, and I couldn't get enough of it. What more could I do to push his nerve? "I'm gonna ask again. Why are you here?" His voice came out frustrated and alluring like a serpent, but one that I wanted to touch. "What do I win if I tell you?" I smirked and he curled his hand into a fist, slamming it against the wall beside my head. "Alright, fine. I was told about this club called Club Oasis by a friend. I was thrown at Christian by a witch. I was looking for an Alpha and-" Another deep growl rumbled through his body and vibrated against my breasts. "You shouldn't be looking for Alphas, little girl." He pulled away from me just as soon as he had pinned me to the wall to protect me. I couldn't see his face; he had turned away too fast and before I knew it, I was staring at his back. His hair was messy and a gorgeous auburn color. His shoulders were broad, and he had amazing muscles. My god his ass was sculpted in those tight leather pants. And don't get me started on his amazing legs. I bit my bottom lip and watched him walk away from me. My heart pounded in my chest and then I looked beside me to see Christian's unconscious body on the floor. Was he dead? Did that guy just murder another Alpha? I rushed after the mysterious man and found him getting into a black sports car. "Hey!" I waved my hand through the air, and he growled again. "Aren't you a moody one." "I wouldn't be moody if a human hadn't been an asshole's pet for the evening. Do you realize how incredibly naïve you really are?" The man turned to shake his key fob at me. I couldn't help but burst out laughing at the image of him irritated with me like a small child. "You need to get your ass far away from Alphas and Betas or any of this s**t. You're in way over your damn head, little one." He hit his key fob and the car started. "I am not!" I pouted and stomped my foot in frustration. "I know what I'm getting myself into!" He slapped his forehead and dragged his hand down his face with an arm crossed over his chest. "Like you did getting mixed up with Christian? Please... tell me how well you think you know about this world?" "That was a mistake." I swallowed hard. How dare he assume he knew everything about me? How dare he accuse me of such things! "Yeah, showing up at Club Oasis was your first one, sweetheart." The man got into his car and slammed his door shut, pulling out of the spot. I threw my fists down at my sides and growled. Who was this guy? He just saves me, gets all feral and close to me, and then just f*****g leaves?! Who does he think he is?!
