*One Week Later*
Cody POV
I couldn't believe a little over a week had passed since realizing Candi was my mate. Getting to know her, watching her come out of her shell, seeing her learn to stand up for herself, had all been nothing short of amazing. We had gone on a couple more runs, even taken a bike ride around the territory. Candi's guards had worked out a schedule between them so that Candi had two or three guards with her at all times. Three would accompany her from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. (so during school hours), three others would take over from 3 to 11,, then two were with her from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m., posting themselves outside of the Alpha's suite as we slept. I planned on adding a couple more men to the rotation soon so that it would be easier for them to get a day off.
