A Broken Soul and A Broken Heart

Chapter six

Darius POV

I walked around outside the hospital wing and the packhouse I looked like a zombie I had not slept for a long time, The last time I do remember I had a good night sleep was the night before Aleera was taken, After that, I had slept for the longes time maybe an hour. The pack was worried about me and had asked me to go asleep and have a rest they would wake me up but I was stubborn and I refused to sleep, they all had said to me the we don’t know when she would wake up and that I can’t be awake until then, Celia has also offered me help to fall asleep in a bed beside Aleera by giving me sedative but I had also said no to that.

It has almost gone a whole week since Aleera macules woke up from the dead on her funeral pyre but she has not woken up after that, Celia is keeping a close eye on her and her vitals, I have only left her side when I had to get something to eat or to have a shower, but no one know when she would wake up, she could wake up today or next week or next month no one knows for sure, I just hope that I don’t need to wait too long. 

It had almost killed me when she died in my arms and the two days she was dead I wanted to be dead to so I could be beside her, but then somehow she woke up even if she did not wake up and now she had almost been in a come for a week. I wanted her to open her eyes now so I can look into her eyes and tell her I love her and that she can never leave me again.

I was walking around in my own thought thinking about her when James can up to me telling me that something is happening at the hospital and with Aleera and I turned around and run back to into her room, I did see Celia and Cassie holding down Aleera or trying to hold her done

“What’s going on?” I asked them 

“We don’t know, she just starting to shake like she was having a seizure, we are trying to hold her so she won’t hurt herself,” Celia said back to me with a worried voice, I pushed me in beside Cassie and I hold Aleera down she had her eyes closed, just because I was stronger then both of then I manage to hold her down Celia was helping me anyway I turned my head to Cassie 

“Give her something,” I said to her 

Cassie turned around and got something from the cabinet behind her, I heard her fumble with somethings but I tried to focus on Aleera, Cassie came back and put something in Aleera's IV drip and after a while, Aleera started to calm down and the shacking started to fade away. When I realized her we all breath out in relief, but it seems it was not over yet. The monitor beside Aleera started to beep a warning signal and both Celia and Cassie ran different ways to get things 

"What's going on?" I asked them but they ignored me 

"Cassie we need to do an Intubation she does not get enough with air," Celia said to her sister and Celia stand behind Aleera's head and move her head backward to open up the airways and Cassie gives Celia a tube and a laryngoscopy so Celia could insert the tube down Aleera's throat. Cassie connects it to the air machine so it could help Aleera to breathe. And the beeping slowly goes back to normal. 

"What happens?" I asked them now 

"I don't know, she had some sort of a seizure but what caused it I don't know, the only thing I can think of is that her body is trying to understand and get used to be back alive after two days as dead, and that is also why she has no woken up yet, all her organ had stopped and now that are working again. I don't know how to explain it" Celia said back to me 

"But now when you have put in Intubation, will she have up soon?" I asked them both 

"We don't know, it all up to her when she want to wake up, we just need to wait patiently for her," Celia said back to me with a concerned voice

I sat down on my chair beside Aleera's bed and leaned back I was completely exhausted, I was about to close my eyes when Celia touched my shoulder and I looked upon her

"Please, Darius, I am begging you please let me help you so you can get some rest, you will be sleeping beside her in a bed, she will not wake up right away, and you need some rest before your body shuts down," Celia asked me begging me to let her help me. 

I thought about it and then I sign giving up 

"Fine, I will let you help me," I said back to her, Cassie left the room and came back two minutes later with a bed and she placed it beside Aleera's bed, I got up from the chair and laid down on the bed and Celia came up to me with a syringe with sedative in her hand she came up to me and cleaned my left arm just below my shoulder and inserted the needle and pushed to sedative in me, she removed the syringe and tucked me in under the duvet. 

"After some rest, you will feel much better, I will be here beside both of you until you awake, " Celia said to me, the sedative age gave me worked fast I felt sleepy right away I closed eyes and I slowly allowed the sleep to take me.

Aleera’s POV

Everything was black and I tried to open my eyes over and over again, but they would not open. I could hear Darius talking to Celia in the background and sometimes talking to me, asking me to wake up. But why ask me to wake up I did wake up earlier I saw him taking my hand, or did I just imagine it?

I could hear more than Darius and Celia’s voice in my room, sometime I could hear Cassie and James. The question James always asked was have anything changes? The pack is worried they just want to know if their luna will wake up? But it was the same answer every time no she has not woke up yet but you all will know when she does. 

I tried to scream out to Darius that I was awake and that I was here with him. didn’t the moon goddess tell me that I would wake up when I chose that I would o back? She told me if I chose the child over me I would end up in a coma so why am I not wake now?  Did she lay to me? I tried to contact Pixie but she did not answer me at all, I was totally alone in the dark. When I looked around it looked like I was deep down in the deepest sea I tried to get up to the surface but I only fall deeper and deeper down, I heard Darius whisper to me that he loved me and he wanted me to wake up soon, he missed me and want to see my eyes. 

Did the moon goddess do something wrong did she send back our child instead of me? Was the question I asked myself over and over again. But one thing that I hear cilia said that keep me going was 

"She will wake up when she is ready, we will take day by day" 

I remember she said it one time before and it was the time I was saved by Darius the first time, I had heard them talk when I was asleep for a week, but this time was different I had been dead for two days and how long will I be asleep this time before I wake up was also a question I asked. Right now I want to wake up and tell Darius everything that I had to do to come back to him and our pack, what sacrifices I had done and ask him for forgiveness.
