Winter immediately dragged me towards the place where she said the twins, Thunder and Storm, were resting at that moment. The other two did not have any choice but to follow us as they already knew that they could not do anything about the excitement that Winter had felt at that very moment.
I knew that it was because of what I had said, and I also knew that she was not the only one who was feeling like that kind of way, because even though Cloud was trying to suppress his emotions, I could see in his eyes that he was really hoping that I had finally found out the answer to our problems.
I also think that Evo had felt that too, but he became too worried because of me earlier. That was why he had forgotten about it for a little while.
Speaking of that man, I immediately looked behind me, where he was walking alongside Cloud while they were following Winter around, as though that was all they could do at that moment, because they knew that they did not have any choice but to just follow us around.
I did not intend to meet Evo’s gaze, but it seemed as though it was inevitable as I saw that he was also staring at me, as if he was still convinced that something was bothering me—and I knew that ‘something’ he was thinking about was that me being sick, even though it was not really the case.
I even saw how he mouthed to ask silently if I was really alright, and all I could do was to nod my head because I really did not know what to answer him. I did not know if I should really respond about it, because I also did not know if I should lie about what was going on or not.
“Never mind those two behind us,” Winter said, which made me look at her because I did not know that she had already seen that I was intently looking at one of the men behind us. “Just focus on walking because nothing good would happen if you kept on staring at them.”
Once again, I only managed to nod my head because I really could not figure out what Winter was trying to say to me, and it seemed as though I would not be able to comprehend anything about it because I heard that the other two behind us were already complaining about what Winter had said about them.
“We heard that,” they both even said, as though they were deeply hurt about what Winter had told me, but it seemed like Winter did not give any single care about it, as she even stuck her tongue out as though she was trying to tease both of them.
I could not do anything but to shake my head, because I knew that keeping my mouth shut was the best thing that I could do that moment, because I knew that they would never stop if I also joined Winter in ‘teasing’ the two of them.
It did not stop there, though. In the end, I heard that those two kept on talking while we kept on walking, but it seemed like Winter did not bother to listen to them any longer, as she kept on walking as if she could not hear anything at all.
We finally reached where the twins were. They were on the hill that was already at the end of this adventure park.
I think that place was beautiful because of the scenery that it shows, and we could also see the whole place, though I did not manage to appreciate it that much, as I heard that Cloud and Winter were already arguing with one another.
I frowned and I was about to ask where Evo was, but it seemed like I did not have to do that any longer as I already heard his voice not so far from where I was. I did not even have to look at my side to see that he was there, and was just pretending as though he was not part of that argument at all.
“I think I should stop them from arguing.”
I could not help but to shake my head once again when I heard that from him, as though he was really pretending that he was not part of it at all.
“They won’t stop if I do not do anything,” he even added, which made me look at his side once again, because I really could not help but to raise my eyebrows at him as though I heard something so unbelievable.
“You were one of the reasons why they were arguing,” I pointed out, which made him freeze in his place and which made the twins finally notice that they were not alone in that part of the park any longer.
Evo cleared his throat as he finally went to where those two people were, and that was the moment that Thunder and Storm came to my side with a questioning gaze, as though they did not know what was happening at that moment.
“Did they finally lose their heads?” Storm asked, which made me almost want to laugh because I personally think that would also be the one that I would say if I did not know what had happened earlier.
I let out a sigh as I did not know how I would be able to start telling the twins what had happened earlier, when we were still on the way to this place, because I really could not seem to find the right words to explain the events before all of this had happened.
“Well…” I drawled as I looked at those three, who were still arguing with each other—and yes, Evo was already arguing with them rather than stopping them unlike what he had said to me earlier—before I finally continued what I was saying, clearly unsure if it was really enough to explain all of this. “Let’s just say that something had happened earlier, and that leads to this.”
I even pointed my hands at those three, because I really did not know what to say any longer and I had already given up the thought that they would stop that easily. I doubt that we would also be able to stop them, because I could see that this pointless argument of theirs would only be solved if one of them backed down.
I knew that it would never happen, though—and I knew that Thunder and Storm also knew that, because we all knew that those three have high ego and pride. We all knew that nothing was bound to happen if we would just squeeze ourselves in between their arguments, and we also knew that we would only get dragged by them if we were not careful enough.
It seemed like the twins got what I wanted to say, because I saw how both of them nodded their heads—as though they fully assessed the situation of those three—before they finally looked at me with a smile on their faces.
“It seems like they will not stop any time soon,” Thunder said as I saw that Storm was already getting away from those three and just sat under the tree where they were sitting earlier when we first went to this place. “Just take a seat here while we wait for them to finish their talk.”
Storm and I laughed as soon as those words left Thunder’s mouth, before we both agreed to follow him, as we all knew that it was the best thing to do while we waited for them to finish their talk—Thunder’s words, not mine.
The twins immediately offered me a tea and cookies, which I did not notice earlier, because I was busy looking at the scenery and the argument of those three, though, I must say that I was thankful that they offered me food and drinks, because this was the first time that I felt my hunger, and I did not even know why I suddenly felt that way but I must say that it must have been because of those three’s weird antics.
I did not know how long we had been staring at those three while sipping our tea, and I did not know how long we were just looking at them as though they were doing the weirdest thing a person could do—which was, in fact, the truth, because I had not seen anything like this before.
We just kept on doing just that, until they finally got tired of that pointless argument that they had. That was only the moment that they finally got on where we were, as Winter even stole my cup as though she was so tired of arguing with those two.
“It felt like my head hurts because of them,” she even told us, while she kept on holding my cup, and I did not have any choice but to get another one because I knew that she would not let it go even if I asked her to return it to me.
“Well, you did argue with the top two of our class,” Storm said as he stifled his laughter as though he knew that this was bound to happen in the end. “You should have expected that something like this would happen.”
Winter groaned as she did not talk about it any longer. She even waved her hands as if she did not want to remember what had happened earlier, while the other two did not seem affected at all as they were just silent beside Thunder.
They were not talking and were just trying to pick cookies that they could eat, and that was the moment that the twins suddenly remembered what had happened before those three suddenly argued because of things they did not bother to know.
“What brings you guys here anyway?” Storm asked us once again when he finally saw that everyone had calmed down and would not cause trouble any longer. “I know that you will not come here just to argue and then suddenly eat with us.”
The four of us suddenly stopped what we were doing, as though we had completely forgotten about it, and that was only the moment that we finally let go of the things that we were holding while we faced the twins with serious, yet hopeful, expressions on our faces.
“Do we have to be scared because of the expressions that you all have right now?” Thunder asked, and I knew that it was intended as a joke just to lift up the mood once again, though it did not happen, so Thunder did not have any choice but to ask the same thing that Storm had asked us earlier.
“To tell you the truth,” Evo started saying, which made us prepare ourselves—though I did not know why we had to do something like that. “Liana claimed that she had found the answer to our problems so that we could cross the afterlife.”
There was a moment of silence right after he had said that. It was as though they were trying to process what I was saying, and when the twins finally did think of the words that Evo had said, the expressions had changed into an excited one—as though it was already enough for them to hear something like that.
“Really?” They both even asked at the same time, clearly excited and hopeful about what Evo had said to them, and we all nodded our heads to answer their questions. “Then, what was the answer you were talking about?”
They all turned to me as though they wanted me to explain it to them, and so I did, because I knew that they had to know this one way or another. After all, just like what Evo had said, they had to do everything that they could just so they would be able to cross the afterlife.
They had to try everything, even though they were still not a hundred percent sure that it was the answer they were trying to find. They had to test everything, even if it meant that I was close to being lonely once again.
I hastily shook off that thought in my mind, because I knew that they would get worried at me when they found out that something was bothering me—just like how Evo had reacted earlier even though he did not really have to be worried about me.
I did not want that to happen, so all I did was to explain to them what I had thought about—the answer that we were looking for—while all of them were listening to me as though they really wanted to hear every single detail about what I had been explaining to them.
I just kept on talking and explaining to them, until I finally finished what I wanted to say. That was only the moment that they finally let out a sigh as they suddenly fell into a deep thought, as if they wanted to think about it before they finally decided if they should try it or not.
“I think that it is really possible that it is the answer that we have been looking for,” Cloud said, which made the others agree as they still kept on thinking about it. “And I also think that we have nothing to lose if we try to find something we have to fulfill.”
“Well, I agree with what Cloud had said,” Evo told all of us, and that was the moment that we looked at his side. “I personally think that it has always been the answer that we have been looking for but…”
“But we all knew that there was a problem about that.”
Thunder was the one who finished what Evo had said, and all of them agreed to his statement as though they all knew all along that was the answer they had been looking for, but they were a bit doubtful about it. They were quite unsure of what could possibly happen, or maybe, they had a reason why they were a bit wary about that thought.
I heard Storm let out a sigh as though he did not know what to do any longer, and I immediately figured out what they had on their minds because of what he had said next—because of the words that suddenly left his mind as though he was distressed about what I had explained to them.
“Why was it always so hard to think about it?” he asked, and I did not have to look on their faces to know that they were distressed about the thought that they had to think of something they wanted to fulfill in this world.
They did not know what they were wishing for, after all this time. They were clueless about the thing they wanted to fulfill in this world. They were having a hard time thinking of the wish they wanted to be answered for the last time.
I looked at them, and I did not have to think about it thoroughly to know that, once again, there was a problem at hand. That once again, it seemed as though we got back to the first step when we all thought that we were finally moving forward.
It seemed like we were still far from the end, and I did not know if they could still wait for a little bit longer.
