Chapter 10: The Trip

3085 Words
The time that we had to go on a trip that they were talking about, on a place that Evo specifically choose for us to have the event that was solely for our section, everything was fine. Everything was according to what we had discussed before, and just like what Evo had explained to us, they were waiting at the back of the University where the school bus is. In the appointed time that we had talked about, at exactly five in the morning, I went out of my dorm and just decided to walk towards the University. After all, we had agreed to wait for each other for thirty minutes before we would inform the driver of the bus that we should go to the Lost Soul’s Forest. Up until now, I still could not believe that such adventure park existed. It was also given that the name of the place was somehow, odd, but then again, it seems like there was a meaning behind that name. I think that there was something about it, that was why the very same day that we had talked about the place that we would go to, and we had agreed that it was going to be Lost Soul’s Forest, I did not hesitate to search on about it because it seems like I was the only person inside of the class that did not know a thing about it. Even Ms. Madison, who was somehow a little quiet that day had reacted because of the mention of that park, but when we asked her about what was wrong, she just kept her mouth shut as she said that it was nothing and we should not mind her any longer. She just said that we should just focus on choosing the place, because we were the one who needed to enjoy this privilege. And because of what she had said to all of us, we did not hesitate to share our opinion about it, though mostly of my ‘opinions’ were just countless questions about the place because I did not really have any idea on what it was about, but I must say that they were really informed about that place because they really explained it to me, thoroughly, as though this would not be their first time to go on that place. In the end, we had decided to go on that place, after almost two hours of discussion. I even did not know why Ms. Madison made me decide if we should go there or not, and it even felt like she wanted me to refuse, which I did not do so because I wanted to really see the place as I was really curious about it. I even got to the point that I had to search something about it, but I never found any single explanation as to why that place was called Lost Soul’s Forest. I did not have any idea on why they had to name an adventure park like that. I never found anything that could explain why it was called like that, but then again, I found an article about a certain incident that had happened near that place five years ago. It was said that that incident was too tragic that was why no one ever wanted to go on the Lost Soul’s Forest any longer because they thought that the place was hunted. They thought that the place was cursed because of that incident, which made them almost go bankrupt, but someone managed to save that place and were able to save it that was why their business has been going on for a while. It made me confused as to why Evo still choose that place above everything that we had suggested, but then again, I must tell that the whole place was indeed beautiful and could offer a lot of attraction that was why I think that must be the reason why Evo had to choose that above all of the places we had suggested. I think that even though there was such story about the Lost Soul’s Forest, it still did not stop the other students of Section A to choose that place. It still did not stop them to get really excited about this, and to be honest, I was also thrilled on what I was about to find out on that place once we went there. I was so excited to think of everything that we could do, as a team and as a group of friends on that park. I wanted to share this experience to them, and I was thankful that they were the one that I was with as I already knew that they would never stop me from doing anything - Well, I must say that it would be another case if ever I had done something really wrong because I already knew that Evo would go really mad because of it. I already knew that he would still watch our every move, as though he was our parents, but then again, I already knew that was his characters and I knew that he would never be able to stop himself from worrying to us. I also knew that was the reason why he was the President of our class - because I did not think that there would be another person that would be fit for that position. It was not like I was saying that the other students were incapable of doing what Evo has been doing to us, guiding us and telling us what was wrong. It was not like I was saying that they would never be able to really execute that, but I have always thought that Evo was irreplaceable, because it was already given that everyone was scared of him. It was already given that in just a look from him, everyone would already behave as they already knew that nothing good would happen if ever they would just keep on doing something that they already knew was wrong. I knew that he would be the only person that the Section A would follow, other than Ms. Madison. To be prank, I even think that they follow Evo’s words more than Ms. Madison’s, though I could already tell why they were acting like that way towards those two. I could already tell why they follow him more than our own adviser. After all, Ms. Madison was just really cool about anything that we were doing. It was just alright for her to listen to our talk and to everything that we were saying. It was just alright for her if we were really chaotic, because she already knew that Evo would scold us on how we were acting. She was just letting us do whatever we want as long as we were listening to her and to her lessons. It was just alright for her, because she already knew that Evo would do the scolding for her. It was funny to think that he was scarier than our own teachers, but then again, just like what I have said before, I was really thankful that someone like him was on the Section A because it felt like he was the calm within chaos. He was the pillar of our group, because we already knew that without him, the Section A would not be the down to earth person today. We would be a different person, and I did not want to think of that way. I just wanted to think of how thankful I was because he was with us. I just wanted to think of how thankful I was that I had a chance to meet all of them, to get really close to them, and then now, to get this chance to know them more than before, even though this might be the last chance that I could do so because we were already graduating on high school. We were already on the last year of our high school life, but then again, the sadness that I felt was replaced by the happiness and the gratefulness that I was feeling because I had a chance to meet people like them, because I had a chance to see the different side of people that I thought was too intimidating before. I had a chance to know people that I never thought I would meet on my life. I knew that it may sound so cheesy, but then again, I really could not help but to feel greatful that we were here and we had a chance to meet each other. I could not help but to really feel thankful that Dad had decided to transfer me on Pristine University, even though I was a little hesitant about it first. I let out a small smile because of what I have been thinking, before I held the strap of my large backpack, because I was informed that we might be staying on that place for a week or two, or if ever the University would agree to extend it more, then I must say that we might be on the Lost Soul’s forest for almost a month. I continued to walk through the usual path I was taking whenever I was going on the school, until I had finally see Willow and Winter, whom I told to wait for me on the front of the University because I was too afraid to go on the back - even though they had already reassured me that there was really nothing going on at the back of the school. I told them to wait for me, and it seems like even though they were teasing me before, they still choose to really wait for me on the front of the University. My smile immediately widen as I waved my hands towards them, and they did that same, which made me realize that they were not the only people that has been waiting for me. My smile suddenly disappeared when I saw the third person that has been waiting alongside Winter and Willow. “Oh? Are you not happy to see me at all, Liana?” he said in a sarcastic way, which ruined my previously best morning that I ever had in my life. He even made it worse when he draped his arm from side to side as if he was expecting something from me. “Come on! Would you not even give me a single hug?” There was an annoying smile on his face as of this moment, which made me even more irritated than before. It made me want to talk back to him, just like how I always have done, but then again, I did not want to ruin my day any longer so I just resorted on keeping my silence just to annoy him more. I think that he was about to talk again, but then he thought twice about it as I heard Winter said, “Enough of that, Cloud,” as if she was already annoyed that he was at it again, even though Evo had already talked with him about it. “Just carry her bag if you had nothing to do.” I was about to refuse when I heard Winter said that to him, but I was not able to do it any longer when I felt that Winter had gone on my back to get my bag and as soon as it slipped out on my shoulders, she immediately gave it to Cloud with a glare on her eyes. “I thought that you were here because you insisted that you wanted to see her arrive, huh?” I raised one of my eyebrows when I heard that from Willow. I even saw how his eyes widen because of shock, and it seems like he was about to deny it, but he did not have time to do so any longer because Willow and Winter already dragged me towards the back of the University. “Do not listen to whatever he was about to say any longer,” Willow even whispered that to me as they dragged me even more on the back of the University, and I indeed followed their suggestions when I heard that Cloud was just complaining about me and about my bag, which was not that heavy at all. We just continued to walk until we reached our destination: the back of the school where the school bus was supposed to be waiting for us, as well as the other students who were waiting for our arrival. It seems like we were the only people that was present though, because the only thing that was on the back of the niversity was the school bus and the driver that was inside it, and nothing else. There was no single person around, which made me doubt because I did not think that they would still wait for five thirty a.m. to arrive before they would even go to the appointed place where we would meet. “They are not here yet?” I asked Willow and Winter, who also stopped walking when they saw that I looked around the place. I roamed my eyes around the place again to double check if I just missed them and they were already here but was just making a prank on me, but then again, there was really no hint of them anywhere. “This is odd,” Winter suddenly said, which made me focus my attention at her, and that was when I saw that she had a frown on her face. “They were already here earlier, when we said that we would just come and get you in front of the University,” she mumbled the last sentence that she had said as though she was also confused on where they were. We scanned the whole place one again, but gave up when we still could not find them. Willow even sat on the sidewalk, and I did not want to ask anymore if it was dirty or not because it seems like she would not get up from where she was sitting any time soon. “We should just wait for them to arrive again,” Cloud said in a bored tone as he dragged his feet towards where Willow was sitting and it seems like he had decided to take a seat beside her as he put down my bag beside where he would take a sit. “It is not like we can do something about them. We should just wait for them to arrive again so we can already travel.” I saw how Winter rolled her eyes because of what he had said, and I even heard her whisper, “Negative. Always so negative,” and I already knew that she was pertaining to Cloud, who suddenly acted like that way. It seems like Cloud still heard what she had said because I saw that he had rolled his eyes at her, but if WInter did noticed it or not, I did not know about it any longer because she just followed them and sat beside Wilow as we wait for the other three to arrive again, as what they have said to do. I also decided to take a seat on the sidewalk, because it seems like they would not be here any time soon. It seems like it would take some time for them to arrive and really tell us what had happened and why they were suddenly late. I did not know how long we have been waiting for them. I did not know how long we were just sitting on the sidewalk as though we just ran away from our home, but then, the moment that we heard that Cloud was already complaining because the three of them were so late, we had already seen them walking towards where we were. It seems like they had came from the inside of the University, which made me wonder what they had done inside because I could not remember if I had seen them when we went inside the university so that we would be able to go to the place we are in as of this moment - though I did not bother to think about it, thoroughly, any longer when I saw that they had stood up from their seats to go and meet the other three. I also did the same, because it seems like this was really a serious situation because of how those three looked as of this moment. It seems like whatever that had just happened, it was something so serious that we all had to know. We stepped up in front of them, and they also did the same, before they looked at each other as though they were contemplating if they would tell us or not. Though at the end, Evo let out a sigh and it seems like I already knew what was about to happen. He did not have any choice but to really tell us, because whatever it is, I think that it was really something so serious. I must guess that it might be connected to our trip, and even though I did not want to say it, it seems like it would greatly affect us in any way I could think of. I think that whatever that was, it would cause a great problem to us, and I feared that we would never be able to solve it, if we were the only people here and the teachers would not come. Speaking of teachers, now that I think of it, Ms. Madison was still not around the place, even though it was already past the time that we had agreed to wait for each other. It was somehow odd that she would be the one that was not present up until this time. I frowned and I was about to ask them about it, but then, before I could even tell them anything, I did not know if Evo was able to know what I had on my mind or not, because the moment that I looked at him, I heard something that made me think that this was indeed a serious situation. “Ms. Madison will not be able to come with us on this trip.”
