After thinking for a moment, Claire replied.
Claire: A friend I know.
2 minutes passed before Noah sent another message.
Noah: Okay. Call me anytime if anything happens.
Claire sent back a quick OK. She had just put her phone away when a sudden commotion broke out outside.
Chaotic footsteps filled the hallway. Someone shouted at the top of his lungs. Claire heard a rough voice yell, "Where are you keeping her? You won't open the door? Kick it open."
Claire stood up. The noise was getting closer and closer. It had to be the people Ryan had contacted for her.
She quickly shouted toward the door, "I'm in here!"
