WEAK
ASHINA
Jenella's face paled after I said she was not on my level for me to think of her as my rival. She looked insulted, and that suited her. But I know that now… no matter how I offend her, she would still stay here in our house because that was part of her evil strategy, to take everything I have and ruin my life.
“Rival…” Jenella uttered with tears in her eyes. “I'm sorry if you don't like the word I used, sister. It was just that I found it uncanny for us to be like this because you are thinking that I like your man.”
“You do. You like Charles, and since he is good and loving, caring… honest, as you witnessed I want Charles to be happy with you, for I can't like those ‘good’ qualities he has anymore.”
“Poor Charles….” She murmured dramatically. “No! Charles is ‘fortunate’ to have you, actually.
“Oh, Ash…I– I have no intention of being with Charles. Believe me. All I am doing is for your security, sister…” she said sadly. “I want your happiness. And…and I think you dislike me praising Charles, then rest assured you will find it in your heart… you will find that Charles was always there, and your strong bond for Garth was nothing.”
I sniggered and shook my head in dismay. So this is his tramp she is. My cousin Jenella will do everything, absorb all my insults, and take all my hostility to continue her schemes.
“I am sorry to say this…” Jenella paused and sighed first. “But it seems Alpha Garth’s spell is working dangerously on you now, sister. Please resist it! Aren't you afraid of Alpha Garth at all? Rejecting Charles and choosing that Lycan’s Alpha could jeopardise you and our pack.”
Truly? Jeopardise? I want to tell her what adversity I brought to the two packs, Garth's and mine, because I have listened to her before. I wanna say to her what all she and Charles did. I wanna scream my heart's hatred for her.
I wanna…but I won't. The more I could act normally, though, now I wanted to kill Jenella would make me wiser and more potent.
“Enough of this conversation, Jenella. I'm tired, and I want to have a rest.” I dismissed her and walked to the stairs. I don't want to hear any lies. It bores me!
“Don't you want to speak first to Charles? You could be enlightened after talking to the man you have trusted ever since. The strong bond you felt with Alpha Garth, you might have felt with Charles as well. Remember how certain you were before that Charles is your real mate.
I sighed. Jenella is really a pain in my ass. How could I be so innocent before believing her? How could I be so naive and solely rely on her and Charles? How i***t am I to consider all her and Charles? How i***t am I to consider all her charades?
I frowned at her and recalled how she smiled cruelly before leaving me to be burned alive. While staring at her, I remember how the fire scorched me and took my life…..
All the burning pain…and the beg I did to the moon goddess for me to have this second chance. No! I will not let Jenella outwit me. I will be the one who will mislead her this time.
“Come to think of it…. Why don't you talk to Charles? I'm sure you two could feel your strong bond with one another once you go to him now. You will surely be enlightened and probably…. Delighted too”
“Oh, Ash…. Charles loves you so much. How could you hurt him by throwing me to him?”
I grinned as I remembered how I loved hearing those statements from her then. Whenever Jenella reminded me how Charles loves me, I felt pleased that the man was very vocal about telling anyone he loves me. I felt important. And yes…. That stupidness of mine became the most essential part of their grand conspiracy.
“Charles told you that?” I was excited. I want to fool Jenella at times.
“Always. You know how Charles treasures you and is very proud of it. He is so elated to tell everyone how you two belong to each other.”
“Oh! How sweet… Then go and tell Charles…” I paused to thrill her with encouraging words I will say next, for I wanna act like she fooled me again. “Tell Charles, Jenella… tell him that…”
“That?” Jenella asked with her beaming smile.
“That I don't give a damn anymore about this sickening love; both of you are feeding me! You should two f**k together for all I care!”
That's it. I turned my back and climbed the stairs. I was already on the top landing when I turned to find Jenella's ugly reaction, and I laughed when I saw it.
Jenella hurriedly climbed the stairs to follow me. All I can notice in her eyes are worriedness
“You do know that you are my most favourite sister, don't you?” Jenella looked pitiful when she said that in front of me.
“So what?”
“Then I can do anything you want for you not to dislike me now.
I can't take your hate, Ash. I can't bear the loathing you are showing me since my accident this morning.”
I grinned. “Will you do anything I want?” I tested her.
Jenella nodded. “I will.”
“Then I want you to prove it to me. Prove to me that I am ‘your’ favourite one and you care about me_”
“What do you want me to do then?” Jenella's smile is mysterious. She wasn't even aware of how creepy she looked. But being afraid of her is nonsense, for I had tasted fire. In hell and back only to finish her.
“In that case, you really wanna prove to me how much you care—” I smiled. “Move out of this house, Jenella! That's how you could prove your sincerity, cousin Dear!”
“W-What?” A horrified Jenella asked. I know she won't like to do that. Why would she want to leave the house?
If she leaves the house, then where will she go? She will be nothing outside of our home
I stared into Jenella's eyes. She is a very weak omega. A very…very weak one and that is why she wants to take all from me. Her status of being adopted by my Alpha father was her pride. And if she leaves the house, she will leave the protection from my father, and worse, she will end up again at the bottom of society.
“Do you really… mean that?”
Jenella's broken voice is starting to irritate me.
I rolled my eyes first, then, “I do.”
She sighed heavily. “I can't believe that because of the fake strong mate call you have for Garth, it will break the promise we had.”
That made me wanna yell at her. I burst out some heavy breathing while glaring at her. I wanted to tell her it was over, but grinned at her. I wanted to tell her it was over, but I grinned. Her determination to fool me made my wolf, misty, snicker. I smiled as misty was reacting too. While Jenella was trying to corrupt my mind, misty was there telling me I couldn't be stupid for this second chance I had.
