ASHINA
“Do you really want to leave this house?” Jenella's sad voice made me roll my eyes.
“Yes. You are telling me you want to prove to me how important I am to you, right? This is how you can show your loyalty to me. Leave this house, Jenella! As I don't like to see your face again, leave!” I turned my back to go to my room when she stopped me with more of her drama.
“Do you remember when we got lost in the jungle when..when we were teens? I was only fifteen and you were fourteen. We were lost and some rogue a-attacked us. Don't you remember how I saved you? This scar…” Jenella raised her skirt to show me the faded scar on her right leg. “This is what that rogue caused me after I tried to p-protect you.”
What a conspiracy, I wanna tell her. That indeed happened, but I never thought before that it was all planned by her. I just learned about it when she said that after abducting me and locking me in the basement. She was even so proud, telling me I was a fool believing her orchestrated attack that time, that I stupidly fell for her brilliant ideas.
“I remember that, Jenella.” I sounded convinced this time. I think I wanna play her this time. Before, I was the one being played. Now it's my turn to change the game she started.
Recalling every moment with her, I felt more hatred by staring at her. When we were in high school, because of her, I did many things in my teenage life that I couldn't be proud of. I did some cutting classes and absences without any reason…she always backed me up. And I was so pleased to have her as an older sister always there for me, but the truth is…now I know she didn't help me then. She was the reason why I was punished miserably by my father for my antics.
When I liked Charles, Jenella was there again to assist me in seeing him. But come to think now what happened before, for I was young and naive, I never thought that thr person I trusted was the traitor deliberately ruining my reputation.
I believed Jenella. Believed her every word and promise. There was a time I was told that if it's not with Jenella's intelligence, I am nothing. I was judged as a daughter of an alpha but a useless one. Those are some of the insults I heard from others because Jenella spoke ill about me and made fun of me.
I was being used by her. She needs to be placed now where she is supposed to be.
Recalling how I treat this b***h in front of me as my own sister made me wanna throw up now. She made me die in a burning flame. I will make her taste it too I promise that.
“Don't mind me, Jenella. I am just tired from all the daily drama,” I told her and saw her eyes twinkle, thinking she had deceived me again.
“It's okay, Ash. You know I always adore you and I can't get mad with you. I understand too it was Alpha Garth's doing why you became like that. You cannot trust him, Ash. You cannot trust someone lying to you. Am I right?”
I smiled at how she stated those words. She really is so dramatic to the point of being exaggerated because of her convincing ways.
“You should see Charles, Ash…” she hushed the words.
I looked at her sternly. Here she is again.
“I am only thinking about what's best for the two of you. What if Charles heard your plan of marrying Alpha Garth? He will be hurt, Ash.”
‘As if I cared.’ I wanted to say it but contain it in my thoughts. I need to be wise now.
“I will see Charles tomorrow,” I said afterward. “Will you help me tell him that Jenella?”
I noticed the glint in Jenella's eyes. Poor her. She thinks that she has effectively persuaded me. I smiled warmly at her. A smile as I had before for her, a smile for someone I depended on so much. For someone, I relied on my previous life.
“Thanks to the moon goddess you get to your senses. I am hundred percent confident this time that all you and Charles plan to be together. will come true after you talk tomorrow. All your thoughts about choosing Alpha Garth will disappear.”
I just stupidly nodded, trying to look like I was before, like a naive i***t In my past life. Then my eyes narrowed as I remembered something back. Jenella gave me something to drink then, and an aphrodisiac one. I know that herbs are in the kitchen. I used to ask her before what it was, but she simply said something good for my weak body.
Well…now…that herbs will be good for ‘her’ weak body. Hers, not mine.
“Can you go now and meet Charles?” I tested her enthusiasm to help.
“Yes. I will get my phone first in the room.” Jenella excitedly went to her room while I hurried down to the kitchen. I know where she was hiding those herbs.
She hid it in the built-in kitchen cabinet for no one to notice since she made it look like some dried leaves she used in her study. Jenella wanted to be an alchemist, and that is why she was allowed by Daddy to bring any herbs she needed to enrich her skills.
I grabbed the container as I saw it and made her tea as fast as possible. I was pouring the tea into the cup when I saw her looking for me.
“I need to go, Ash.”
“Have a tea first with me.”
She smiled, walked to get near me, and took the tea I intended for her. I tried my best to look normal even though I could feel misty being excited about what I was doing to Jenella.
“Thank you for trusting me, sister.” Jenella put the empty tea cup on the table and hugged me.
I pretended to act gullible and hugged her back too. I can feel her happiness with that, and I know she is wickedly smiling now, thinking how good she is for deceiving me.
“I'll leave now.” Jenella stepped back and distanced herself from me.
“Go….” I smiled sweetly. “Take care.”
“I will.” Jenella turns her back to get outside the kitchen.
I followed and called her attention again, “Jenella! Wait!”
“Yes, sister?” Her eyes beamed with anticipation.
“Thank you for helping me and Charles.”
“Your happiness is my priority. Keep that in your mind, Ash.”
A small smile played on my lips. “Yes, I believe you.”
That's it, and she left the house feeling proud of herself.
After waiting for another ten minutes, I called misty.
“Misty, I need you now….”
Misty growled, and the moment I stepped outside the house and looked at the full moon in the sky, I smiled.
My smile turned to a grin before I jumped outside, and the moment my feet landed on the ground, I had already transformed into a white wolf.
I need my wolf form to find Jenella and Charles easily. The moment the aphrodisiac worked on Jenella's system, it made me wanna watch her be as slut as she is.
I picked up my phone using my mouth, for it fell to the ground when I transformed. When I had it, I ran and used my ability to smell anyone. I could smell anyone, even if that person was a mile away.
I ran into the woods until I reached my destination. I was hiding behind the bushes beside the fences in the yard of Charles’ property when I transformed into my human form. I looked for a shirt in the improvised bamboo drying rack in the backyard of Charles’ home.
I wore the shirt and walked barefoot to get near the backdoor, and since Charles' house is an old cottage type, I could hear them talking. Jenella sounded happy and confident, telling Charles she had misled me again.
“But you need to take action immediately, Charles!” Jenella roared. “That brat cousin of mine is now thinking to choose Garth over you. You cannot let it happen! You cannot let that alpha of warpaw keepers rule us in the future. Or worse they could throw us out of the pack. I won't let myself be a rogue just because we fail.”
“Why don't we leave them, Jenella?” I heard Charles answer that to Jenella, a weak omega with common sense than my greedy cousin. “ I don't like Ashina at all. Her brattines is tiring. I just wooed her before because of you.”
“And because of me, you need to make sure you will make Ashina reject that Garth. How I hate them! Thinking how privileged they were being alpha children made me think of the unfairness of nature's law! Why would we be omega? Why weren't we born as Alpha's offspring too?!”
My eyes squinted upon hearing that. So I was right all along; this is all about envy and greediness.
“The mating scent you are using to Ashina. You need to make it stronger when she talks to you tomorrow.” Jenella says every word as an instruction to Charles.
“Ashina is nothing but a stupid brat. I have no interest in her, Jenella. Do you hear me? She is unlike you, intelligent and understanding.”
“Enough with that, Charles! You need to focus on Ashina. You need to do what I want, then once you become her husband, we could manifest her death, hers and Garth's.”
Charles didn't say anything, but I saw how tempted he was to be an alpha too. He's evil as Jenella.
‘Oh, Moon Goddess... they really deserve each other. They should be burned to help!’
