The gym spun around me in a haze of color and heat. I couldn’t breathe. Couldn’t think. Something deep inside me was tearing free, clawing against skin and bone. Move, the voice inside urged, fierce and relentless. Get out. Now. I barely registered the hand grabbing my arm until I was yanked sideways, stumbling through the crowd. Damien. His fingers dug into my wrist like iron shackles. “You’re not doing this here,” he hissed under his breath, his face tight with panic.
