‘Talie, seriously, this it NOT a good time’ Ezra spoke through gritted teeth.
SHIT. s**t. It was principal Davenport’s daughter. This was so NOT good.
I need to find somewhere to hide, like NOW.
‘Oh My God, you’ve got a date! Let me say Hi, I won’t embarrass you, promise’
Ok, so I am not hiding then.
‘Talie, do NOT go in there. Please, time to go’
The doorbell rang again.
‘Aren’t you going to get that Ezra?’ she asked, almost laughing.
He obviously went to answer the door, because 10 seconds later she was standing in the front room with me.
It’s fine, maybe she won’t recognise me, we only met once!
‘Hi, I’m Talie, Ezra’s friend’ she looked me up and down, as Ezra walked into the front room holding the pizza boxes, looking at me with a mix of an apology and fear.
