Zeke’s POV
When I saw Ezra in school on Monday, he looked like s**t. I only got a glimpse of him on the way to registration, but it was enough for me to tell something wasn’t right.
We agreed not to contact each other during a school day, just in case, so I made a mental note to make sure I asked what was wrong later. I didn’t see him for the rest of the day.
When I got home, I sent the message, his sadness not far from my thoughts all day. It wasn’t long before he replied. I found his message vague and detached.
*all good, just tired, didn’t sleep well*

I didn’t know what to reply to that. After I had thought about it, I figured he was just worried about me going to Oxford and leaving him behind. It made sense. I tried to reassure him, I hadn’t even got accepted yet,
