Aira’s POV I watched the tear fall down his cheek and fixed my gaze back into his chocolate brown eyes. I could see the recognition—finally—the realization that we had created a child together, that we were in love, that we were made for each other. That we were mates. Knox stood, placing the letter on the side table like it was a treasure. In seconds, he was close to me, and he took my hand in his. He got down on one knee. “Aira, I love you with all my being,” he began. “How I could ever believe such lies and doubt our child—I’m sorry. There are no words to tell you just how much I regret every second that I kept you away, but I’ll make up for it for the rest of our lives.” I breathed in and out slowly, trying to reconcile this gentle man in front of me against the coldhearted beast
