The next morning

A noise wakes me and the first thing I notice is my hand is touching the cold sheets and not the skin. My eyes pop open and all I see is Rowdy. Where is Merigold? I jump out of bed and check the bathroom first.
She isn't there. I look around the room and notice her clothes are gone. I quickly pull my jeans on and go to the living room and kitchen. She left.
When the hell did she leave? And why? I ran back to my room to grab my phone. Rowdy is waking up when I get back in the room. "What's up, man?" I dial Merigold before I answer. " Merigold is gone."
