The day goes by in a blur. Annalise is woken up bright and early which, after her night of fitful sleep, and in addition to the several nights before that with barely any rest, is just shy of torture. She is washed, dried, and pampered in ways she had never dreamed of. She is brought breakfast to her room, along with a beautiful gown made of fine, white silk, softer than anything she had ever felt. She lets the servants do up her hair, pin it into place until she can't feel any of the natural weight of her hair anymore, just the pins digging in tight against her scalp.
