Nick 2 years later "And the Brit goes to..." Luke says loudly, "Harper O'Neil!" I clapped as Harper walked up to Luke to receive his 'Brit award'. "I can't believe you're nominated for three Brits," Luke grinned, "Who knew your album would be such a hit." "Well the past two years have been pretty insane. I'm starting a worldwide arena tour next week. Guys that's crazy." I crept behind Harper and kissed the back of his ear, seeing him smile in front of me. "What's crazy is that our two year anniversary is on the same day of the concert," he said, "I swear once it's over I'll make it the best night ever." I nodded and Harper gave me a warm kiss on my mouth. Honestly, I didn't mind about the concert being on the same day as our anniversary. Watching Harper become a performer on stage has literally been the best gift to have. Seeing him perform at theaters was crazy enough. Harper owned the stage every time. He was really a true performer. Harper achieving his dreams has made him so happy, how could I take that away from him? Harper When I noticed that Nick fell asleep watching 'Gossip Girl' I laughed. The poor boy had an obsession with Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass and all of the Upper East Side drama, it was hilariously adorable. His hand would never stop writing as he explained every little detain about the show. I'd watch him with loving eyes as he'd excitedly tell me about how Nate and Serena's love was resurfacing, or how Dan Humphrey, the boy from Brooklyn was in love with his best friend Vanessa Abrams instead of the movie star Olivia Pope. Nick knew it all with this show. Although it had ended his obsession never ended. He knew the shows, lines, and characters inside out. Watching him explain every moment was a gift. Not many get to see Nick in his true element. The fact that I got the privilege to do so baffled me. I looked down at him curled up into my chest, sleeping quietly. What did I do to deserve him? I leaned down and gave him a light kiss on the forehead. "Can't believe I've loved you since we were eighteen," I whispered. I pulled out my phone and wrote that down, in case something lyrical came of it. A text from Luke popped up on the screen and I opened it quickly. texts: Harper and luke - night L: the first arena show plan is all set up. they agreed to it. H: great, i'll inform the opening act. L: should i go to your house and get the old stuff? H: yeah Nick and i are back in the uk, at the flat i bought us. drop it off early tomorrow. i don't want him seeing. Nick I woke up snuggled in Harper's warm embrace. Honestly nothing could really beat this. Harper was just...wow. "I have loved you since we were eighteen," he hummed, "Long before we both thought the same thing..." Didn't I say I love you in the first letter? I added a tired smile with my statement. "Yeah, you did, didn't you?" He asked, his morning voice evident. I nodded and wrote again, New song? "Yeah," he replied quietly, "I think this is the best one..." I let him press a smooth line of kisses across my forehead.  "I have to go out today, with Eleanor," he frowned, "I would much rather come out..." Why don't you then? "You know what? You're right baby. Now come here, climb onto Harper's lap." He pulled me into a straddle and we kissed deeply, ignoring the morning breath still on out tongues. texts: Harper and luke - afternoon H: change of plans, do you remember where my attic is? L: at your old house? yeah, why? H: i need you to get something. my first show isn't going to be a concert at all. Harper beginning of the 'perfected' tour "Harper your gotta get a mic! Come on hurry up!" I kissed Nick's cheeks and ran away quickly, grabbing my mic from Luke. "Thanks buddy," I said, "Did you get it?" "Yeah someone will bring it out once you're done giving your long soliloquy." "That's not even what it's called," I chuckled, "anyway did you get the other thing?" Luke slipped it in my coat pocket and I smiled, "God this is gonna be great..." I heard screaming as the Vamps came off the stage ten minutes early. "Good luck," they all told me as they passed by. They were a nice group to have open the tour. As planned, all the lights shut off except for one. "The show won't start until the arena is completely silent." Silence fell across the crowd and I sighed, "I'll see you later baby," I said, giving Nick a long kiss. Nick What's going on? This isn't what happened at sound check. I said. "Just wait," Luke said, a really wide grin on his face, "this is better." Harper "Uh, hello," I greeted the crowd with a wave as a single spotlight bore down on me. I saw some waves and I heard multiple 'hi's. "Hey uh," I smiled, "you guys excited for tonight?" I received a lot of screaming until it died down. "Yeah I'm excited too, but first, I need you to know that this is a special show. This is a show only you'll get to experience. If anyone else says you went to a Harper O'Neil concert, you tell them it wasn't the same as the one you went to." I sighed and ruffled my hair nervously, "Because I'm not going to be singing for you all. This time we're going to do something different. And I wanted to do it this time, because I know most of you have live streams set up and things like that. The first and last show are always important, aren't they?" There were 'yes's and screams as I continued my speech. "Since most of you are probably wondering what's going on, I'll get on with it." I looked backstage towards Nick, who looked completely bewildered. He was so far away but I could still see his cute little perplexed face. "I'm gay." I said, still keeping my eyes locked on him. His jaw dropped and fans around the arena gasped. Security was increasing below in case of rioting and I could see the stage crew smiling towards me and Nick. Luke was gone, as I wanted him to be. "Yeah, I don't like girls in that way. Don't get me wrong you're all lovely beautiful people, but my heart only belongs to one right now." Nick was backstage shaking his head as if he was trying to see if this was reality or not. "You guys know Nick right?" Screams erupted loud enough to wake someone in America. I covered my ears and my earpiece was tuned to adjust to the increasing sound. "Okay, so you do," I chuckled, "Yeah as most of you members of Underground Nick and Harper know, he's my boyfriend. So if you have a problem with my love life, walk out of this arena because you're not welcome." I looked around and saw some seats being emptied. "You guys in the back that see seats opening up can move up by the way." I watched as the fans in the far back happily moved up further. "Good good, is that everyone then?" I said. I looked around and saw the arena still looked full. "Fantastic," I continued, "So as for the rest of you, I have a surprise." I looked around with a wide grin, "Luke?" In Luke' hand was the big box I kept all out letters in. "Oh my god Luke White!" I heard everyone screaming as Luke rushed out. "Nick babe you come out too," I laughed. Nick stepped out, completely bewildered. Some of the girls gasped and cooed as I took his hand and practically dragged him out. "Okay, so this is Nick. Wave baby." Nick waved shyly at the fans, who were all practically hyperventilating over seeing him slotted in my free arm. "So, most of you know he's mute already. But, today is our two year anniversary, and I wanted to do something." I sat down on the bench that was placed on the stage and Nick sat with me. "As most of you know, we've been together since high school. But how did we start exactly?" Nick's eyes widened as I opened the box, revealing the letters. "In this box, I have the letters we wrote to each other. And I'm going to read you all of them."
