The Guards and adventurers were outside the city, ready for the worst to come. This was the first time a wall of flame appeared outside a city in Highhelm. Country's higher-ups even called a Tier 5 adventurer for this event.
After one day, the wall got down.
-CHAARGE! – Immediately screamed the guard's captain.
The guards were scared to death, fearing there was a dragon or a Threat 8 monster inside. The adventurer ran in first, fully armed and ready for battle, but when he got inside, there was nothing.
-It is... Clear? – Said the confused adventurer.
The guards got relieved and went inside. Once a lively town was now in ruins. They inspected half of the city, but found no sigh of live.
-It was a m******e in here, what happened? – Said the adventurer.
After a whole day inspecting, they found nothing and returned to their homes.
Word got out that Tow was destroyed after a mysterious fire incident. There were riots in some cities. People were scared, thinking they were next. People mourned the deaths of Tows townspeople. Higher-ups had no idea what happened or how to cease the riots. They had no other choice to ask "Him".
One higher-up went to the bar and saw him.
-N-Needle! – He said in a trembling voice. – Sorry t-to bother you again so s-soon! – He cleared his throat and said in a serious tone – You know what is happening in the country. We need answers, fast, so we need your aid.
Needle took out his blunt.
-I refuse. – He knew it was Rekkas doing. He didn't want the boy to get in trouble.
-What do you mean! This is the most important task we gave you since we recruited you! – Higher-up said in an annoyed voice.
Needle threw a needle at him, piercing his ear.
-I think you didn't hear what I said... Get away before I pierce your heart.
Higher-up quickly got out of the bar and ran away. When he got back and said Needle refused the request, they got scared. After a long discussion, they decided to falsely give people hope by increasing security inside the cities. They even forgot about Rekka, thinking he died in the fire. Riots still continued, but died down after a while.
