Chapter 34: Whitebolts Origin I

Light shone through the windows on Whitebolts eyes. He woke up and quickly dressed. He looked in the mirror and thought to himself.

-Good job me for not staining white suits.

He walked down the stairs and peeked in Rekkas room. He was still asleep. Whitebolt went in the kitchen. Maids greeted him and he greeted back.

-Good morning Whitebolt-sama. Breakfast will soon be ready. Is Rekka okay?

-He is fine.

Whitebolt went in the garden to rest. He looked at the flowers and sat near them on a bench.

At the back of the mansion, he had a flat area. It was the place where he trained, and where he would coach Rekka.

-I hope everything will turn out fine. It must be hard to lose all of your powers. Even more when you are young. – He sighed.

Whitebolt remembered the times when he was Rekkas age. He didn't have many friends. Only Harumi was always on his side. Both of their families were badly off, so they always supported each other. He remembered how he got his powers. Once, there was an event outside the city. Lot of people gathered there, including merchants and adventurers. Harumi and Whitebolt went there too.

-Ken-chan! Quickly! We'll be late! – Harumi was running and Whitebolt was following.

-Haru! You know I can't run fast! – He was running out of breath.

A Tier 5 adventurer was visiting the prince. There was a big party to celebrate it, as he was becoming the prince's personal guard. A merchant was trying to sell magic scrolls there. The place was crowded. Someone bumped into the merchant, making him drop his scrolls. Harumi and Whitebolt ran past the merchant. Whitebolt accidentally slipped on the scroll and well down.

-Ken-chan! Are you okay? – Harumi tried to lift him up.

-Ouch, my head. What did I hit?

He looked down and saw a rolled piece of paper.

-10, 11, one is missing! – Merchant was counting the scrolls. He started to look for it and saw a little boy opening it. – DON'T OPEN IT! – He screamed.

It was too late. Whitebolt unwrapped the scroll. It was a magic scroll. The one opening it would get power to control and create electricity. It was a super expensive and rare, found in the depths of a dungeon. Whitebolt started to read the words on it.

-What's written on it? – Harumi curiously asked.

-There are weird words, I think I can read it. – Answered Whitebolt.

-NOOO! STOP BOY! YOU WILL PAY! – The merchant tried to get to the boy, but it was crowded and hard to move.

-May I, the reader, am worthy to take the powers of lightning itself...

-Wow, you can read that? – Harumi got amazed.

Unexpectedly, lighting hit Whitebolt out of thin air.

Whitebolt passed out. The adventurer immediately jumped in to the boy's aid. People gathered around the kids. They were scared of the sudden lightning too. There were no clouds in the sky.

-Quickly, someone get a doctor! – Said the adventurer. He was big man in his 30's. He had a big black beard and black hair.

The merchant finally got through the big crowd.

-Don't worry, he will be okay. – Said the merchant in an annoyed voice.

-Who are you? – Asked the adventurer.

-I am a merchant who sells scrolls, AND HE JUST USED MY MOST EXPENSIVE, THE MOST POWERFUL ONE! – The merchant was furious.

-Did he steal it?

-NO, I dropped it. – He calmed down a bit.

-You, little girl in a blue dress, what happened?

-I, I... - Harumi was crying. He was worried about Kenji.

-Satoshi! Nakamura Satoshi! – He noticed the passes out Kenji in a big man's hands – What happened to him?

The prince walked in. The place was dirty. Most of furniture was torn and broken.

-Is his mother here? – Asked the prince.

-Sadly she passed away from the Meria Disease.

They all sat down with Harumi. Satoshi waved his hand to her and she waved back

-Sorry for the mess my prince, I didn't have the time to clean up.

-Don't worry.

The prince explained everything that happened.

Satoshi started to bounce his leg.
