-Where are we going? – Asked nervous Whitebolt. He still didn’t show his emotions. -Don’t follow him, we must part ways soon. – Quietly Answered Maya. Junkaras steps shook the ground. Walking straight, he didn’t look around. He didn’t hide his presence, but it was odd. Usually, heavy presence sickens the ones around them, but Junkaras aura infested one with fear instead. Maya took a different path from him and Whitebolt followed. -What does he want here? -He was nervous and followed me here. – Said Maya. -What if others notice him? -He will just smile back and continue his path. – Maya stopped – Junkara is a titan, I don’t think anyone is capable of defeating him. Whitebolt thought about Rekkas inner demon, but didn’t say anything. -And he is your, father? – Asked Whitebolt. Maya clenched her fists and continued walking. Whitebolt noticed saying Junkaras name made her irritated. She suddenly started talking. -I was an orphan. My parent’s were killed by an adventurer, and he… - Maya clenched her fists even more and made an irritated face - I was on the streets, no food, no home, no family… Until I met Hokori… *Eleven years ago* Maya was sleeping on a torn up brown cloth in a dark alley. She got woken up by some noise. -Huh, who’s there? – Said Maya while rubbing her eyes. She saw a boy trying to steal her food. -HEY, STOP! – Screamed Maya. -Crap. – Thought the boy and started to run away. -Thief, STOP! – Maya ran after him in the crowded city. The boy wore a black cloak. He was nimble and easily ran through the crowd. Maya hit someone. She fell on the ground and fruit fell on her. -Look at the mess you made! – Shouted the man. He was a merchant. -Sorry! – Said Maya. The boy noticed that Maya got in trouble. -*Tsk*. He turned around. He threw the cloak at the merchant and blocked his view. -HEY, YOU BRATS! – When the merchant took the cloth away, the kids were gone as well as some of his fruits. The boy held Mayas hand and they ran away. -Whoa. – Thought Maya as he held her hand – Wait, - Realization hit her – I got in trouble because of you! -Sorry about that. – Answered the boy. They returned to the alley. The boy looked behind the corners. -Looks like we’re safe. – Said the boy and sighed. -Who are you, and why did you steal my stuff? – Maya was furious at him. -Look. – The boy took out apples and bananas out of a bag and handed it to Maya. Maya reluctantly took them. -I still haven’t forgiven you. – Said Maya and ate the fruits with a satisfied face. -My names Hokori by the way, nice to meet you. – The boy sat down and leaned on the cold wall while eating a banana. -Oh, uh. – The young girl got nervous – My name is Maya, nice to meet you too. -How are you… - Hokori got scared. Maya threw up. -Oh, sorry. – She said as the girl put her hand on her stomach – My stomach hurts a lot for the past weeks. -Oh, it’s okay. Don’t worry about it. Haha. – Hokori awkwardly giggled – Why are you here? Don’t you have a home. Maya grabbed her arm and a tear slid her face. -Sorry for bringing it up. – Said Hokori. -No, it’s fine. Why are you here? -I ran away from home. -What? Why! – Maya got surprised. -It’s none of your business. – Answered Horoki in a cold tone. They ate together. -Want to stay here? – Shyly said Maya – But remember, I still haven’t forgiven you about what you did! -It’s okay, I’ll… -Don’t leave me please… - Maya grabbed Hokoris arm, surprising him. -What’s wrong with her? – Thought Hokori – Fine I’ll stay for a while. -Thank you. – Said Maya and let go after a while. Three months has passed. News got out that the criminal got murdered. People around were happy and relieved. Maya and Hokori spent all of their time together. They played, ate and did everything as if they were sibling. -Maya, you are getting pretty fat. – Said Hokori and giggled. -Hey! – Maya got irritated. -Okay sorry! – Hokori was beat up by Maya – It was a joke. They both laughed afterwards. Suddenly, they noticed a man in heavy armor sitting in a corner across the streets. The man noticed Maya and started approaching her. The kids got scared. -What are you doing here kids? – Asked the man. -Oh, uh… - Maya was nervous. -We were just playing. – Answered Hokori and spread his arms in front of Maya. -Where are your parents? -We don’t have a home. – Hokori was talking in an aggressive tone. -Oh, sorry. – Said the man and kneeled down – My name is Junkara Akiraka. – Junkara looked at the poor kids. They didn’t have a home and slept on the ground – Hey uh, want to stay at my place? Maya remembered horrifying moments and teared up. Hokori saw this. -No! - Shouted the boy. -Umm, can we? – Said Maya and wiped off her tears. -Maya!? – Hokori looked at her with confusion. -With only one condition. – Said Junkara – I don’t want lazy brats sitting all day doing nothing. If you want to live at my home, you need to train with me. -Why training? – Asked Hokori. -If you don’t want to, I’ll leave. – Said Junkara. -Two seconds ago he was like an angel, no he is demanding things? – Thought Hokori. -I will! – Answered Maya. -Great! – Said Junkara and smiled. They arrived at his home. It was huge mansion. The kids were amazed. -You can play today, tomorrow we will start. – Said Junkara and left. -That’s how I met him. – Said Maya – He let us through hellish training. I can’t forget those times. We would’ve been better left off in the streets than being tortured by him. Hokori and I really thought we could trust him. Whitebolt realized what happened to her and clenched his fists. He didn’t say anything and they continued walking. The next day, Whitebolt arrived at the mansion.
