Chapter 13: Learning The Basics

The next morning, they came out of the house. Rekka was really happy, even though while wearing a long cloak, it was his first time going out in a long while. When he looked around, he got confused, as it wasn't his hometown.

-Where are we dad? – He asked.

-Oh, this... We are in a... - Akio still told him – Different city Rekka, don't you remember how we got here?

Rekka tried to remember. Suddenly, he saw a flash of a burning forest and his head started aching. Akio quickly comforted him and the pain went away. Rekka then said: "I guess I forgot" and smiled.

Akio tried to avoid the guards as much as they could. They got out of the city borders headed to the plains. Akio looked around when he saw no one was around, took the cloak off from Rekka. Only some weak monsters were around. Akio started speaking in a confident voice:

-Here we are! This is the place we will be training for you to master your powers. Let's start by running a few laps around the place. We need to improve your stamina for more MP.

Rekka wasn't lazy, in fact, it was the opposite, he was excited and was working hard.

But the easiest and the most efficient way is killing monsters. It's not me who set this rule, it was god. Of course, killing innocent beings is wrong and you should not do that, but the monsters, even the weak ones, know nothing else but killing and harming humans.
