The bright sun shined over the huge garden of Whitebolts mansion. Maids woke up and got to house cleaning and cooking breakfast. Whitebolt got up too. He yawned and cracked his neck. He put on his white suit and went down to the basement immediately. Rekka was awake. The little boy couldn't sleep.
-Are you feeling well? – Asked Whitebolt.
Rekka was still down, but tried to lift himself up.
-I'm doing fine! These chains are uncomfortable.
-I don't have anything else to suppress your powers yet. Are you hungry?
-I can eat. – Rekka made a fake smile.
The day before, Rekka was happy beyond belief that he wouldn't go berserk again. After Whitebolt said they were going to train, he remembered the times he spent with Akio.
-I'm going to ask the maids to take care of you. I am going to go find a solution for our problem. – Before Whitebolt left the room, he turned around – Be nice to the maids.
-Don't worry! – Answered Rekka.
Whitebolt left the basement and maids greeted him.
-Good morning Whitebolt-sama! Your breakfast is ready. – Politely said one maid.
-I'm not hungry. – Said Whitebolt – Take the food to the kid.
-But we...
-No buts, he is hungry. Treat him well like you treat me.
-If that what you wish, Whitebolt-sama.
Whitebolt left the mansion. Maids were scared. They knew the boys past and were afraid of Rekka, but they promised to take care of him. One of the maids mustered up the courage and loudly said.
-I'll take the food to him!
Another maid gave her a pat on the shoulder.
-Good luck! – She made a thumbs up.
She put the food on a silver tray and brought it to Rekka without falling down on the stairs. Rekka noticed the maid and waved his hand. When the maid saw the chained up boy with red teeth in a dark room, she got terrified. She started shaking and stuttering.
-T-this is f-for you! – She mumbled out words.
Rekka saw how scared the maid was and tried to calm her down.
-Don't worry, I won't hurt you. – He was already used to people getting scared after seeing him.
The maid calmed down a bit and put the silver tray in front of Rekka.
-H-have a nice m-meal!
She then slowly got out of the basement. Maids awaited for her at the entrance.
-How did it go?
-Did he hurt you?
-He, looked scary, but I didn't sense any menace from him. – Said the maid – He looked very depressed actually, I should've talked to him more.
*Meanwhile*
Whitebolt went to the adventurer's guild. It was packed with adventurers. Being a Tier 5, he was popular in the guild. People approached him.
-Thank goodness the rumors weren't true! – Said one girl.
-I believed you from the start!
-Thank you all for believing me. Now please, let me pass, I have important matters to discuss.
Whitebolt wanted an artifact to put on Rekka to suppress his magic powers. The workers here exceed in those topics. He went to the reception table. The receptionists wore short dark green dresses with white ends. She had beautiful green eyes.
-Whitebolt-san! How can I help you today? – She greeted Whitebolt with a kind smile. She had brown hair and brown eyes and was about 164 cm tall.
-Harumi-san, do you know where I can get hold of an holy artifact? – Whitebolt asked in a serious tone.
-A holy artifact? For what do you need that all of a sudden? – Harumi grinned, lifted up her eyebrows and got close to Whitebolt.
Whitebolt pushed her away and moved his head further from her.
-That's none of your business!
Harumi pointed her hand to come closer. She whispered in his ear.
-So the rumors were true, eh? – She giggled.
Whitebolt sighed.
-Don't tell anyone about that. I can trust you, right?
-When did I ever break a promise! – She put her hand on her heart. – About the holy artifact, I need the context for what do you need it for.
-I need to suppress a demons power with it. I want it to be small and not heavy.
-Hmm. – Harumi took a thinking pose – I don't know an artifact, but I do know a seal.
-Where can I get it? – Asked Whitebolt.
-There are some problems with it. If you want to get a seal that fully suppresses monsters magic, you need to visit the light forest.
-But it will take a month to get there! – Whitebolt got irritated.
Harumi put his finger on Whitebolts mouth and shushed him.
-Let me finish! You can also get one that doesn't fully suppresses, but suppresses almost 80%. You can buy it in the magic store near the city borders.
Whitebolt moved the receptionist hand away.
-Thank you. – He made a kind smile – I can always depend on you.
-No problem! – Harumi smiled and her face got faintly red – You know these tasks are nothing for me.
Whitebolt waved and left the adventurers guild. It was a 3-hour walk to get to the city border. Limasse is a big place. People greeted him as he was walking. He was the strongest adventurer in the town. On the way, he went in a restaurant for something to eat. He was hungry and thirsty.
-Welcome! – A cute girl welcomed him. – W-Whitebolt-san! – She got flustered after seeing him. – C-come inside!
-Thanks. – Whitebolt calmly answered.
He sat down on the brown couch. The place wasn't crowded. It was a medieval style restaurant, mostly for selling beer. Whitebolt calmly enjoyed the food.
-Come again later! – The cute waitress got on one leg and waved her hand.
-Thanks for the meal. – Whitebolt waved back – Still nothing compared to my maids food. – He thought to himself.
After a while. He got to the magic shop. It was full with scrolls, weapons, crystals, gems and artifacts. An old, short man with a long white beard was running the place. When he saw Whitebolt enter, he clenched his hands together and greeted him.
-Whitebolt-sama! What brings you in my shop? – He humbly welcomed him.
-I heard you sell holy seals. I came to buy one. – Whitebolt replied in a serious tone - You look familiar.
-A holy seal. A have some of them left. Let me get one for you.
The old man went in the back room of the shop and got a scroll with a golden thread keeping it together.
-This is a strong holy seal made from the wood and grass of the light forest. It cleanses monsters and suppresses most of their power. – Old man quietly laughed – It isn't cheap.
-How much.
-2000 gold coins.
-2000 gold coins?! – He thought to himself – Are you sure you aren't increasing the price? – He said in an annoyed voice.
-I'm not, I swear!
Whitebolt sighed and put 2100 gold coins on the table from his pockets.
-How does it work?
Old man happily grabbed the money. He opened the seal.
-You put the magic circle on the monsters heart and chant the words written on it. After that, concentrate MP into it and the seal will close.
Whitebolt took the scroll and before leaving the door said to the old man.
-Keep the change.
