Chapter 41: Threat?

1036 Words
Whitebolt started heading towards the mansion, but on the way, decided to visit the magic shop he bought Rekkas seal in. -Maybe he knows something. – Thought Whitebolt. After hours of walking, he got there. The old man running the shop humbly greeted him. -Whitebolt-sama! What brings you in my shop again? -Do you know where I can buy a Pure Seal? - Asked Whitebolt. -A Pure Seal? Haven't heard that in a while. – The old man caressed his beard – You can't buy it, no merchant sells it. -What? Why? -No one buys them. They are really rare to find, thus, it's expensive. But why does someone need to buy a Pure Seal, when you can buy a normal seal cheaper and it will have the same outcome. Only stupid merchants will buy and sell them. -Pure Seals don't harm humans. – Whitebolt started to get irritated. -So what? Who uses a holy seal on humans anyway? Whitebolt sighed, said goodbye and left. -Come again if you need help, Whitebolt-sama! Whitebolt headed towards the mansion. He kicked a pebble on the way out of anger. -Why can't anything go my way? He entered the restaurant he visited on the last trip. -Whitebolt-san, welcome back! – It was the same cute waitress from before. The place was crowded this time. Whitebolt somehow managed to find an empty seat. -What is this? – He felt a strong presence. He normally ordered food. On the other side of the restaurant, he saw a weird looking man. He wore a black vest with short-sleeved white shirt with black striped inside. He had black jeans and fancy black boots. The man had a smug smile on his face. The waitress brought food. -Have a nice meal. – Smiled the cute waitress. -Thank you... - Answered Whitebolt. The waitress covered the weird man. However, when she moved, the man was gone without a trace. Whitebolt got worried this time. He threw a couple of gold coins on the table and rushed outside. The man was nowhere to be seen. He aimlessly walked around, trying to find the weird man. He went in a dark alleyway. -Boo! – Someone tapped on Whitebolts shoulder. Whitebolt hastily turned around, but saw no one. -Boo! – He tapped on Whitebolts shoulder from behind again. Whitebolt turned around and saw the man right in his face. Whitebolt jumped behind. The man busted out laughing and put his hands on his stomach. He had thin black gloves on. -HA! You should've seen the look on your face! – He pointed his finger while having his head down. -Who are you! – Said Whitebolt in a menacing way. He created a spear in his hand. -Whoa, whoa, whoa! Calm dooown. – The man was pushing his hands and started moving backwards. He suddenly stopped and looked at Whitebolt with a death stare – You don't want to get hurt, right? – His voice has gotten deeper. -Don't underestimate me! You don't know who I am! He suddenly disappeared from Whitebolts sight. He looked sideways and saw the man was leaning on his shoulder. -You don't know who I am. – The man looked at his nails. Whitebolt was in shock. -Who is he! I can't see him move! He is around my age, but the gap in skill is so big. – He thought. The man suddenly walked away and opened his arms. -There is no need fight, after all, I'm much stronger than you. – He started to talk like before. He had weird, goofy movements. -I will repeat again, who are you! -Oh come on, you want to get to know me that much? – He made a girly pose – Fine. – He brushed his shoulders – My name is Ho-ko-ri. Remember it well! -How come I have never heard you? – Whitebolt made an another spear in his hand. -Oh, you know me, and know me well. – He winked and made a finger g*n sign – You will know me with the name Duster. -Duster? – Whitebolt thought to himself – Is he really Duster? -If you're thinking if I'm the real one, - The man disappeared again. He appeared behind Whitebolt and whispered to him in the ear – I am the real one. Whitebolt jumped away. -What would the strongest adventurer in Nissel want from me? – Whitebolt gulped nervously. -C'mon, I'm only a Tier 3! Maya sent me, you know how scary she can be sometimes! – He was again moving in a goofy way – She told me to watch over you and explained everything to me. -You aren't going to lay a finger on Rekka! – Shouted Whitebolt. -What if I did? – He said in a deep voice again – Just kidding! I'm here to help you my friend! I was following you and found out you need a Pure Seal. -So? -That poor pebble you kicked on the road! He didn't *sniff* deserve it. -What do you want! -Chill! Lucky for you, I have a spare Pure Seal! -How? – Whitebolt made the spear disappear. -I travel a lot. When I was in Bemfeil, I visited the infamous dungeon there and found this on stage 30. -Stage 30!? -Yes? What are you so amazed about? That is child's play for me. – He jumped in front of Whitebolt. Whitebolts record in a dungeon was stage 18. -I will give you the seal with only one condition. – He leaned on Whitebolts shoulder. -What condition? – Whitebolt was nervous. He had cold sweat on his palms and forehead. -If Rekka goes berserk even once... - He looked at Whitebolt in the soul. From only that stare, Whitebolt nearly passed out – I WILL mercilessly kill him. Deal? -Deal... - He shook Hokoris hand. -I will leave now! The seal will be in your basement when you get there... - He disappeared. Whitebolt nearly threw up. He was sick from Hokoris presence. -That monster, he isn't human. Whitebolt arrived at the mansion. He quickly rushed in the basement and saw a white paper with a letter. -For Whitebolt. Love, Duster! – With a smiley on the end.
