It was a beautiful Saturday day outside. Rekka and his friends were taking a break from the Battle Academy.
-No, no. You’re doing it wrong!
Well, for Rekka, it wasn’t much of a day off.
-I’m trying Rekka-sama! – Said Ren while trying to pull off a magic trick.
Sora, Kaito and Maeko were standing nearby. It was winter and they all wearing warm clothes.
-Doesn’t Rekka get tired? – Asked Kaito.
-I mean, he chose to become his teacher. – Answered Sora.
-I feel sorry for him. – Said Maeko and yawned.
-Hey! I can hear you all! – Ren was getting annoyed.
-Are you slacking off? – Said Rekka and menacingly gazed at him.
-No, Rekka-sama! You got it wrong! – Ren looked towards the three – I’m going to repay you guys later! – He whispered.
The training continued a couple of more hours. Rekka was more exhausted than Ren.
-That’s enough for today. – He said – Let’s head inside.
-It’s already nighttime. – Said Kaito – The days sure are short.
Maeko nodded her head and they all went inside the mansion.
-Hey kids. – Whitebolt waved his hand – Had a fun time?
Rekka looked at him with dead eyes.
-What happened to him? – He thought.
-I need to leave now. – Ren bowed – See you later!
-Later. – The kids waved back.
This was Rekkas daily routine. He was really busy, even at his age. Even though he was going to the academy and tutoring at the same time, he still trained to his limits. He was reaching 26.000 PL. The Battle Academy was nothing to him. The only time he had fun was when he had sparring sessions with Ren.
In the meantime, Duster returned to the capital with Isvell. He was tired from the long journey and went straight to home with the elf. They were going to live together.
-I haven’t been in this place for so long. – Said Isvell as he walked in the city’s streets – As lively as it always been.
-Yeah. – Answered Duster.
They neared their home. It was a big place in the middle of the city.
-When did they renovate this house? – He thought - Honey, I’m back. – Jokingly shouted Duster.
-Hokori? – They heard a female voice.
-Someone's home? – Asked Isvell.
Maya ran out from the living room.
-Hokori!
She ran and tightly hugged him.
-I was so worried! Where were you for all this time?
-No way… - Duster was at lost for words. A single tear ran down his face as he hugged back.
-I’m back. Maya-chan.
Maya cutely pouted.
-I told you not to call me that!
-If I called her by that name, she would’ve pull out her sword and pierce me a hundred times. Is she really her? – He thought.
-Isvell! Where were you all this time? – Asked Maya.
-Oh, I was, busy travelling. – He nervously giggled.
Duster couldn’t keep it in any longer.
-How are you alive Maya? You were dead! And why are you acting so strangely?
Maya made a kind smile.
-I guess miracles happen. Death was a life changing experience for me brother. I looked back at who I was and decided to change. By the way, I waited for you for months! Were were you lost?
-Oh, I was, busy travelling, with Isvell! – He put Isvell under his arm.
The elf was confused at first, and noticed that Maya was acting like herself, but thought they were joking. After, they all laughed and told each other their stories.
-Thank you god, for reuniting me with my sister. – Though Duster.
Monday came and Rekka went to the academy. On the way, he met up with his friends. They all were promoted to Green. Rekka was popular in the academy. He was known as the strongest student. He was treated with respect. Many challenged him, but they have all suffered defeat. Rekka had a fun time with his friends there. When they got promoted, they moved into a nearby building and met each other during recess. Even the twins came along. They were like this for years, until…
*Present time*
-That kid should’ve been more careful. Who knows what would’ve happened if I wasn’t there. – Thought Rekka.
He waved yawned and continued his way towards the Adventurers Guild
