Chapter 19: Demise

They boy woke up. He tried to move but realized was falling. It was pitch black everywhere, but he could still see his body. He remembered what happened and touched his face. It was unharmed. Rekka could not move, he was just, falling. After what seemed hours, he reached the ground, but could not feel anything. The boy was pale and terrified. He screamed out Akios name, but his voice did not even echo. The place suddenly changed color. It was red everywhere. Everything that the eye could see was on fire.

-Weak...

Rekka heard a deep voice, but couldn't identify where it was from. Soon he realized, it was coming from everywhere.

-So weak...

-Who are you and where am I? – The boy said in fear.

-You don't remember again... - Said the deep voice – I'm tired from playing this "game".

-What do you mean?

-You have been here plenty of times before... But couldn't remember it clearly once... I am the thing inside you, giving you power to survive... HOWEVER, YOU ARE SO WEAK YOU CANT EVEN USE IT!

The fire around got brighter.

-This is a dream – The boy repeated to himself – You are not real! This is a dream!

-The same thing happening again... Time to change things.

Suddenly, memories started flooding Rekka. It was memories when he went berserk!

-YES, REMEMBER THE SINS YOU HAVE COMITTED, THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE KILLED!

Rekka passed out.

-Did he, pass out in his consciousness? THIS IS MY TIME TO SHINE AGAIN!

The deep voice laughed and all the fire rushed up.

-He is waking up, look! He opened his eyes! – Said the scientists. – Wait, why are they red?

The boy stood up and scientists backed off.

-I... I can feel again! – Said the demon boy. – Let us see if I still got it!

He looked at his hands, there were symbols on them. Rekka snapped his fingers and the room exploded with fire. Scientists were turned to ashes in a blink. Demon lighted up fire on his feet and flew up. Guards and the adventurers saw this and got on guard. Citizens heard the explosion and saw the flying boy. They got terrified and started running away.

-OH NO YOU DON'T! – Said the demon and aimed his hand at them.

He put out a gigantic fire beam, burning everyone and everything it touched.

-THIS BODY IS SO WEAK! – Screamed the demon – What is this, about 10% of my power. Well, AT LEAST ILL HAVE FUN AND EVERYONE IN THIS CITY IS JOINING ME!

A tall wall of flame was formed all around the city so no one could escape. The demon flew in the streets, burning everyone, even children and women!

-HAHA! I HAVENT HAD THIS MUCH FUN IN CENTURIES!

The Tier 6 adventurer suddenly appeared behind demon Rekka and pierced him with a sword in the chest. The demon turned around and pulled out the sword from his body.

-HOW CUTE! – He said and chopped the man's head with the sword.

The injury started to get covered in flames and it fully healed. The guards outside the city saw the flame wall and heard the screams of agony inside the walls. They quickly sent troops to request for backup, but they couldn't even get inside.

The demon continued to rain down terror, burning everyone in sight.

-TIME FOR THE MAIN EVENT! – Rekka screamed and flew up.

His eyes darkened and he pulled his hands up forming a massive fireball.

-CATCH THIS! – He screamed and threw the massive fireball down, creating a massive explosion.

This continued for hours, until he killed every... Single... Human inside the city. People were screaming, crying and pleading for mercy, but they got none. The town was in ruins.

-That was fun! Let us go somewhere else now! – Demons chest started to hurt. - AGH! WHATS THAT! NO! HE IS WAKING UP!

Demons eyes got blurry and he fell on the ground, getting covered in rubble from the impact.
