Continent of Sigil appointed a meeting for how to deal with monster invasions. Some countries didn't attend, but most of them did. All around, ten country's representatives were at the meeting, including king Emnei.

After the meeting that lasted five hours, they decided to help each other in soldiers and supplies to deal with the situation. None of the countries, except one, had disagreed. Total of twenty elite guards, one hundred Tier 5 and ten Tier 4 would be distributed around the continent, including Needle.

-If I don't get paid enough from all of this... - Needle took out his needles and pointed them towards the higher-ups – I going to make each of your limbs... Go numb...

-D-don't worry Needle-san, you will get paid three platinum coins! – The higher-up clenched his hands together and made an awkward smile. He was profusely sweating.

Needle put away his weapons, fixed his hat and turned invisible.

Rekka nodded his head and ran towards the park. His smile slowly faded away as he looked around. Kids weren't running in the streets anymore, the city was destroyed, hungry families were sitting on the cold ground, waiting for the royal family to feed them. He slowed his tempo down and walked the remaining way. It was cloudy, the park wasn't blooming as usual.

-Nobody is here. – Thought to himself Rekka – I wonder if those three are still fine. – He started to get nervous.

To this moment, he didn't think that they would've died from the invasion. He started to get anxious and started running around the park, until he saw his two friends sitting on a bench.

-Maeko, Sora! – Shouted Rekka as he happily ran towards them.

-Rekka! – Sora shouted back – Thank god you are okay! – He stood up.

Maeko had a smile on her face too.

-I'm so happy to see you guys safe! – Said Rekka.

-Where were you? – Asked Sora.

Rekka told them the story about how he ran away in the forest with maids.

-It must've been tough out there. Still, you didn't have it as rough as Kaito did.

-Speaking of Kaito, where is he? – Asked Rekka with excitement. He always thought Kaito was the extroverted, happy guy in the group.

-Well, it's hard for me to say... - Said Sora in a quiet tone and put his hand behind his head. His expression changed, it was full with pain.

-Sadly, his family didn't survive. – Answered Maeko.

Rekkas heart started to hurt. He remember how his family died long ago. He clenched his shirt on his chest.

-Sorry for mentioning it. – Said Rekka – I don't know where Whitebolt is either. He went to fend off the monsters, but it is already nearly a week since I've seen him.

-I'm sure he is fine. – Sora put his arm on Rekkas shoulder – After all, he is the strongest adventurer in the town. – He smiled and made a thumbs up – I'm sure he wouldn't go down this easily.

Rekka giggled.

-Yeah, I'm sure too. Where is Kaito now?

-The royal family took in children whose families died until the whole event is over. – Sora bit his lip and clenched his fist with anger – Whoever did this, I hope they die a painful death. – His face wasn't the same as he teared up.

Rekka got scared a bit.

-Let's talk in another place. – Maeko tried to lighten up the mood – Come on, the air is dusty in this place.

The boys nodded their heads and followed her.

The Gem Of Life is a rare artifact, found in an ancient cave where old relics were found. It's said that it has the power to revive anyone. At first, they gave people to use it for their will. But once, it was stolen by a cult and they spawned evil beings in this world with it. One of the evil being was Demon Lord Aedos, Slayer Of Amaterasu. They revived an another Great Ruination, but he went hiding and is yet to be found. After the incidents, the artifact is labelled dangerous and is protected by Sigils best defenses.
