This world isn't a safe place. There are monsters wandering around, criminals and magicians who don't use magic responsibly. If we wanted peace, we needed people who would cherish it. This people are the elite guards. They are the best of the best, strongest protectors. If not for them, the world would be a different place.
Because of this, when the maid saw her, an elite guard, she got nervous. Several guards were accompanying her too.
-Elite g-guard Maya! W-what b-brings you h-here! – She could barely speak out words.
Elite guard smiled. She had shiny, thin silver armor. The Coat of arms of Nissel was portrayed on her heart. She was blond with a long ponytail behind. She was beautiful. Her blue eyes were kind and her smile was sweet.
-We came to talk with Whitebolt. Can you take me to him?
-S-sure! He c-came back home n-not so long ago! – She was shaking out of nervousness – Did they found about Rekka? – She thought.
The maid brought her in. A red carped was in the entrance. On top of the stairs in front, Whitebolt was standing. He was leaning on the handle, but opened his arms and smiled seeing them enter.
-Welcome to my home elite guard Maya, or should I call you the Silver Rose? – He wholeheartedly greeted his guests.
-Greetings Whitebolt, It's a pleasure to meet you. Just call me Maya – She looked over to the maid and the guards – Could you leave us alone for a moment?
-Yes mam! – The guards answered.
They left them and Whitebolt took Maya to a private room. Two couches were on the each side of the table.
-A nice place, isn't it? – Whitebolt said.
When Maya looked over, she was like a different person. Her sweet smile turned into a serious face and she was emitting a menacing aura. They both sat down.
-What brings you, an elite guard to my place? – Whitebolt asked with a kind smile.
-Take off the mask, you know why I'm here. – Said Maya. Her words carried weight.
Whitebolt sighed.
-This facade was tiring, who told you about him? – Whitebolt got serious too.
-If you don't answer my questions, – She took out her rapier and pointed it to him. It had a pinkish crystal on the bottom of the handle. The rapier had rose patterns engraved on it – There will be consequences.
-Let me take you to him, we will discuss this topic there.
They stood up. Whitebolt guided Maya to the basement room. Maids saw them going down.
-I hope this ends well. – Said one maid.
They walked down on the slippery stairs. They entered the dark room.
-This is him. – Whitebolt showed her the boy in golden chains.
Maya saw the irregular boy. She wasn't surprised or even afraid of the boy's appearance.
-He's asleep, and will be for another couple of days. – Whitebolt leaned on the wall. It was cold, but didn't affect him.
Maya quickly took out her blade. A gush of wind knocked over some scrolls. Her blade was stopped near the boy's heart within fractions of a second. Whitebolt stopped it.
-Why aren't you killing him? – Maya asked in a straight face.
-An elite guard can murder a child with a straight face?
Maya spun around, got free of his weapon and tried to pierce Whitebolt, but he once again stopped it with his spear.
-What are you up to? – Asked Maya.
-You won't know until you listen. – Whitebolt was getting annoyed.
He explained everything in detail.
-How can I be sure you are not telling lies? – Maya put her sword in her silver sheath.
-I'm the type of guy who stays true to his words. – Whitebolt confidently said.
-What guarantee do you have he that he will not snap again? – She tried to push him back.
-I have these. – He pointed at the golden chains – They are special holy chains. They suppress magic of monsters. If Rekka tries to escape, he wouldn't be able to. I believe that a demon resides within the little boy, controlling him from the inside. Look at his appearance, does he look normal?
-I will trust you this one time. – Said Maya in a menacing voice – But remember, if you betray your words, I won't hold back next time.
They both got out of the basement. They met with maids and the guards. Maya changed again, making a kind face.
-Don't worry! Everything turned out fine. The rumors were false.
-Thank goodness! – Said on maid.
-This is time when we must part our ways, goodbye Whitebolt! – She waved her hand and left the building.
-That power, she was holding back – Whitebolt thought to himself – That inhuman aura of hers. Seems I can't match the elite guards. I need to become stronger.
The next day, rumors disappeared. The newspapers debunked the false accusations and cleared Whitebolts name. Whitebolt headed to the dungeon in hopes to get stronger. In the meantime, Rekka woke up.
