731 Words
The day of the trip came along. In front of the academy, carts were sorted to carry out the children. -Class 1-A, please, get in the cart. – Said one man. He was in charge of this trip. The kids sat in their respective seats. Rekka was next to Ren. -Let’s have a great trip Rekka-sama. – He said with a kind smile. -Same to you Ren. – Rekka was fiddling with his hands out of nervousness. -What are you worried about? This trip will be fun. Exploring unknown countries, learning about their culture. Did you know that the country we are heading in now, Highhelm, doesn’t have a king? – Ren tried to cheer the boy up. -Oh, really. That’s interesting. -Why is he so flustered? Normally, he acts with confidence, but now, he’s, different. – Thought Ren and leaned on his seat. -Is everyone ready? – Asked the teacher. -Yes. – Shouted the students. -Alright then, let’s go. Before he left the country, he said goodbye to his every friends. He was scared. Going back to his home country was like opening closed scars for him. On the way, he thought about jumping off a couple of times, but decided it was too embarrassing. All around, it was a two-week trip there. They stayed in villages to pass the nights. Rekka killed weak monsters when he had the free time, trying to take his mind off the trip. That night was a nightmare for Rekka. When he went to sleep, he suddenly woke up on the dark floor, and immediately recognized the place. -Why am I here again? – Said Rekka in a menacing tone. He hasn’t arrived here in years, but still knew the place. Suddenly, he felt a tight grip around his neck. Someone was choking him. He was forcefully flown in the air in a second. He fell on the ground with his hands, without any injuries. Rekka, shocked, looked around and saw Oneiros with a face that could bring fear to death itself. He was able to move his right arm freely. -How… - Rekka started crawling backwards – How did this happen? -Oh, poor boy… - Oneiros chuckled – DIDN’T I WARN YOU THAT THIS LITTLE SEAL WOULDN’T WORK ON ME? -I need to bring an end to this, I’m strong enough. Rekka mustered all of the courage he had left and created a long sword. Oneiros had an intrigued face. Rekka ran forwards and jumped in the sky. -Pathetic. – Said Oneiros in a disappointed voice. He moved his hand up and clenched it. A fiery hand had grabbed Rekkas throat in the air. He was unable to break free, or move. Rekka made the sword disappear and threw a fireball at the demon. Oneiros took a direct hit, but he didn’t even flinch. He let go of the boy. -I thought by giving you time would make it worth to kill you, seems I was mistaken. – Oneiros giggled. He looked down on the terrified boy – You are as worthless as you were years ago. Go ahead, have fun in your trip. Lovely memories will come back, the first time I had “fun”. – He hysterically laughed. Rekka jumped from hid bed and clenched his heart. He was in his room. -Rekka-sama, what happened? – Ren was sleeping in the same room. The young boy was trying to catch air. Ren ran to him and tried to aid him. -He, he’s f-free… -Who’s free? – Ren was too confused to understand the situation. He was newly woken up in the middle of the night – Are you okay? You been acting too weird lately. You’re making everyone worried! -It’s, okay. – Rekka calmed down – I just had a nightmare. Don’t be so worried because I’m younger! – He made an nervous giggled and wiped off sweat. -O-okay Rekka, I’ll go back to sleep then. They both laid down. Rekka went into deep thought. -I won’t get fooled so easily again, demon. Your lies won’t work on me so simply. Rekka lifted his shirt and looked at the white seal on his chest. One fourth of the seal was red. -It will take enough time to defeat you. Rekka was determined and went back to sleep. Despite this confidence, deep down in his heart, he was still terrified.
