Chapter 75: Norikos Payment

Rekka woke up. It was a beautiful weather outside. The sun was lighting up the fields. Rekka stretched, put on clothes and went downstairs to eat. He trained with Maya for a couple of hours. He tried more than usual this time, because he wouldn't be training with her after a couple of day. After that, he bathed and headed towards the city. He noticed that less boys were running in the streets. He entered the park, but no one was there. At first he was weirded out, but later just brushed it off. He arrived at the bench his friends usually play at, but they weren't there. This time, he got scared. He looked back and saw bunch of kids were approaching him. They seemed older than he did. Rekka ran to them.

-Hey, have you seen two boys and a girl anywhere? – He then thought – Wait, I just talked to a random stranger.

A kid with sunglasses walked up to him.

-Who are you? – He asked while standing right in front of him.

-Umm, uh, my name is Rekka, nice to meet you. – He awkwardly smiled and looked behind the kid.

At least twenty boys were standing there with a weird smile.

-You didn't answer my question pal. Well my bad. WHAT are you? – Said Noriko in a menacing voice.

Rekka got extremely confused. He felt something was wrong.

-How can I help you?

-This is your last chance, WHAT, are you? – Noriko spit out something on the ground.

Rekka started slowly backing off with an awkward smile. The others weren't having it and followed him.

-Yesterday you looked different. – Said Noriko – Your eyes were completely red.

-What? – Rekka got startled.

-Yeah, you looked like an actual demon. Some guards even followed you around.

-So that's what they meant when Kaito asked something was weird with me. – Rekka got scared – What do you want with me?

-Simple. Leave this place, and no one will be hurt. – Said Noriko and menacingly closed in on Rekka.

Rekka started running away. Suddenly, a wall was created, blocking his path of escape.

-HAH! – Laughed Noriko – Sorry bud, but you can't run away from me.

-Who are you? – Asked Rekka.

-My name is Noriko. Don't want to brag but, I'm a top student at the Battle Academy.

-I thought they weren't going to open yet. – Said Rekka.

-Well my dad made some changes and look, the first Battle Academy is in Limasse. People from all around the world are gathering here, and I'm on the top.

Rekka tried to run away again, but was blocked.

-Look's like you aren't going to obey me. – Noriko looked behind and nodded his head.

He created a giant cube around themselves with no escape.

-A lot of demi-humans are at my academy, and I hate it. You are the worst of them all. – Said Noriko and giggled – This might be the last time you will walk in a, long, while.

Others started closing in on Rekka.

-My dad also bought this place, so don't expect anyone to come and save you.

Rekka was panicking. He was scared.

-What to do? Where are others? – He created a small fireball – This should scare them off.

He threw it at them, but it disappeared mid air.

-Oh no! I made it too weak!

Others started laughing.

-This is all you got, HAH! EVEN THE JANITOR FROM MY ACADEMY IS STRONGER THAN YOU! – Noriko started hysterically laughing.

Others started laughing too. Rekka tried to break down the barrier without magic, but it was futile.

-Aww, look's like the mouse fell into the cats trap. – Said Noriko.

Others started running towards Rekka, but with speed magic, he could outrun them.

-You are quite nimble for a rat. – Said Noriko and sat down on the ground, yawning.

They all agreed and looked over at Rekka.

The kid ran at him. He hardened his fists, making them look rocky. He tried to hit Rekka, but Rekka was too fast for him.

-Compared to Whitebolt and Maya, this is nothing! – Thought Rekka and gained some confidence.

The kid was throwing out punches, but they didn't land.

-STOP SO I CAN HIT YOU! – The kid screamed.

Others were looking at him, disappointed.

-Get out, you are embarrassing me. – Said Noriko, stood up and stretched.

-What... - The kid got scared.

Noriko walked up to the kid and looked at him straight in the eyes. The kid nervously gulped/ Noriko suddenly punched him in the face, knocking him out in one hit. Others, including Rekka, got scared.

-Useless slave. – Said Noriko and spat on the knocked out boy.

Rekka got mad.

-HEY, What are you doing? – He shouted.

-Huh, do you have a problem? – Said Noriko and walked up to Rekka.

-Yes! What you are doing is wrong!

Noriko burst out laughing.

-You are an interesting fella. If you have a problem, - He made an evil grin and spread his arms – then stop me by yourself.

-Where are my friends? – Asked Rekka, this time, he wasn't joking around.

-Your "friends" huh. – Noriko giggled – They are six feet under me.

-What? – Rekka got nervous.

-"What?" "What?" YOU ARE PATHETIC! – Screamed Noriko.

Rekka clenched his fists.

-YOU ARE GOING TO PAY! – He screamed from on top of his lungs while tears ran down on his face.

Rekka punched Noriko in the face with full power. He rolled behind. Noriko started touching his face. He removed his sunglasses and saw they were was broken.

-GET HIM! – He shouted with a bleeding nose, pointing his hand towards Rekka.

The boys started running at him like barbarians. They all started to use their magic. Fire, wind, water, earth and others skills were used. Rekka was with filled with rage. He had enough. He created his blade, but didn't make it sharp. Others looked at the sheer size of his flame sword. They got scared and backed off. Rekka put it on his shoulder.

-WHAT ARE YOU DOING, ATTACK! – Shouted Noriko.

Oneiros grinned.

Others attacked. But something was feeling off. Rekka lifted his head. His eyes were bright red. Noriko and others got terrified.

-Come, didn't you want to fight me? – Said Rekka and made a disturbing smile, showing his read canines.

Rekkas vision changed. He wasn't in the park anymore. He was in a burning city. The sky was red and flames covered the earth. Rekka looked down and saw civilians running with fear. For some reason, he was thirsting blood. He ran towards them, slicing them in half with his sword. He hysterically laughed as blood splat on his face. He chopped and cleaved countless heads. He mercilessly slashed hundreds of people. His head suddenly started to hurt. He screamed from the pain. He got back to normal. Rekkas face turned pale. He looked around and saw everyone knocked on the ground. They were cut in many places, but Rekka made the blade blunt. If he hadn't made it that way, blood would've flooded the park. Noriko was bowing down to him.

-SORRY, SPARE ME PLEASE! I LIED, YOUR FRIENDS ARE FINE! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME! – He pleaded for mercy as tears ran down his face and his nose was running.

-No, no, no, no, NO, NO, NO! – Screamed Rekka, made the sword disappear and ran away.

Others were relieved and ran in the opposite direction.

-NO, WHY, WHY, WHY DID I GO BERSERK! – He pulled up his shirt to have a look on his seal.

The seal wasn't completely white anymore. There was a sizeable red dot on it.

Rekka started running down the city streets in tears. Others got disturbed after seeing him. He arrived at Whitebolt mansion and started banging on the gates while screaming.
