Rekka opened his eyes. He lifted himself up from the black floor. He looked behind and saw Oneiros hanging on the wall.
-What do you need!? – Shouted Rekka.
-You came here by your own choice, and DARE to scream at me? – Said Oneiros with an annoyed face.
-My own choice? - Rekka got confused.
-You wished for power, and came back to me. – Oneiros made an evil grin.
-No, I didn't!
-Yes you did. You are mad at yourself for being a puny, useless child. Not being able to help anyone and hurting others by your actions. – Oneiros had a wicked face.
-Don't fill my head with lies! – Screamed Rekka.
-GIVE IN! – Shouted back Oneiros – I will give you powers you can't even FATHOM!
-NO, YOU WILL KILL EVERONE! – Rekka was holding in tears.
Being in the same place with Oneiros filled Rekka with fear.
-Come closer... - Said Oneiros in a soothing voice – You won't regret it.
-NO!
-C'mon, - He waved his hand – I'm all chained up and can't escape. What's the worst that can happen? – He smiled, showing his red canines.
Rekka gave in and walked up to him.
-Touch one of the chains. – Oneiros smile got bigger.
Rekka was hesitant. When he was about to touch the chains, he stopped, making irritating Oneiros. But he didn't show his anger, instead, he calmly continued.
-Nothing will happen. I will just transfer my powers to you.
Rekka didn't respond and looked at him with a determined face. Oneiros couldn't hold back this time. His eyes went ablaze and he made a fearsome face. Rekka woke up. He was drenched in cold sweat. He looked around to see if he accidentally set something on fire, but he was safe. He sighed from relief and looked out of the window. It was early in the morning. Sun hasn't risen yet. Rekka put on clothes and went downstairs. It seemed the maids were still asleep. He looked at his hand and clenched it. With determination he thought.
-I WILL, become strong, and I won't be needing his help. I WILL defeat the demon inside of me.
He went on the training grounds, created a sword and started training. A couple of hours has passed. The city woke up. Maids woke up and cooked breakfast. Rekka was exhausted, as he was training non-stop. He went inside the mansion and put on new clothes. He ate breakfast, talked with Whitebolt and headed out to meet his friends. In the meanwhile, Maya got new armor and a weapon. She showed it to Whitebolt.
-Congratulations. – Said Whitebolt with a smile.
-The rapier isn't as strong as the last one I had, but I have no other choice. – Said Maya – I will go to the dungeon. – She clipped her hair to create a ponytail.
-Can I accompany you? – Asked Whitebolt.
-Sure. – Answered Maya with a kind smile.
They went outside and talked in the way. Harumi was heading towards Whitebolts mansion too. On the way, she saw them walking by and giggling. She hid behind a wall and clenched her fists, letting out a single tear.
A couple of hours has passed. Rekka returned home. He didn't eat and went straight to the training grounds. He was trying his best trying to become stronger. It was starting to get late. Maya and Whitebolt returned. Maya put on her house clothing and went to train Rekka. When she arrived. She saw that Rekka was laying on the ground from exhaustion. Rekka opened her eyes and saw Maya looking down on him with a smile.
-It seems you're already tired, I will...
-Don't. – Rekka stood up – I still have it in me. – He created a long sword and grinned, wiping off sweat from his forehead.
Maya was amazed, but worried.
-You will hurt yourself.
-Don't worry, *Huff* I know my limits.
-Okay, but I will stop if something happens.
They started fighting. Rekka again was on the offensive. Maya was impressed. He was fighting better than before. Rekka created fireballs in mid attacks, making them even more deadly. After a couple of hours, Rekka was completely exhausted.
-Good job, you did well. – Said Maya with a smile.
This type of training went for an another month. Rekka skill was not comparable to what it was before. Maya was worried about Duster and Isvell, as she hasn't seen them in a long while.
Once when they were sparring, something happened. Rekka was swinging his sword in high speeds. He threw a fireball. Maya dodged, but when she looked forward, Rekka was in her face, about to pierce her. She got scared and instinctively kicked him, making Rekka fall on the hard ground. He started coughing.
-Sorry! – Said Maya. She was disappointed in herself for slipping up – Being worried about Hokori and Isvell messes up my head. – She thought.
-It's okay. – Rekka stood up and smiled – Worse things happened to me.
-O-okay then. You are already strong enough. I will fight back now. – Said Maya – How is he progressing so abnormally fast? – She thought.
-Don't kill me then. - Rekka giggled.
They fought, but this time, Maya was fighting back. She still stopped when she was about to hit Rekka, but for the boy, it was a lot harder.
*Meanwhile*
Duster banged on the table from anger.
-I tried so many things, why isn't it working? – He thought.
He was in a dark room. The place was full of seals, scrolls and artifacts. Apparently, Duster, when Jetos was asleep, tried to lift his curse. However, everything was futile.
Duster disappeared in thin air, heading towards the next dungeon he hasn't explored, in search of a solution.
