*2 hours earlier*
-Can you handle this alone, Maya-chan?
-Of course I can! Leave this one to me. – Enthusiastically said Maya
-Great.
The man in the shadows approached Maya. His footsteps echoed throughout the halls. Sunlight shone through the white and blue curtains on the giant windows. Before passing Maya, he put his hand on her shoulder.
-I will leave then. You know where you can find me.
The man left the giant room. Chills ran down Mayas spine
-He still scares me. – She thought.
She left and headed to the city of Mal. The elite guard was trying to get there as fast as she could.
*Present time*
Whitebolt started to open his eyes. His vision was still blurry. After he could see, he stood up and leaned on his knee. He saw his injuries were gone, but was exhausted.
-I need to go back. – Thought Whitebolt – They won't be able to take down that monster.
He was in a big tent. He heard the crowd cheering outside and went to check what was happening. He saw adventurers and guards making a path for an elite guard. It was Maya.
-You don't need to worry anymore. – Said Maya in a happy tone – I will defeat everyone!
She then ran forward, heading towards the battlefield. Maya disappeared out of Whitebolts plain of sight.
-Heh. I guess I won't be needed after all. – Whitebolt got relieved.
After some rest. He headed towards the battlefield too. He went up the hill he visited earlier. He saw bodies of dead soldiers and monsters were piling up. Whitebolt then looked ahead and saw Maya. He was amazed at her skill.
-If only she came earlier. *Tsk* Less people would have to die.
Maya was moving like light between mirrors. She killed one enemy, and then dashed to another in less than a second. She murdered everyone in only one swing, even Dark Golems. She was elegant and diligent. Battling proudly as an elite guard. Whitebolt decided not to intervene, as he would only slow her down. From afar, he saw fifty golems were approaching her. He wanted to warn her. The golems saw Maya and started running towards her.
-Be careful! – Shouted Whitebolt.
Maya suddenly stopped. The crystal in his sword started to shine brightly. She held her rapier with both of her hands and put it above and behind her shoulder. She slid her leg forward. The golems were about to attack her when she whispered.
-Thousand Pierces.
Maya disappeared. A blinding light covered the golems. She then appeared behind them, putting her sword in her scabbard while monsters behind her dropped dead. Each of them has been pierced in their vitals. Whitebolt was dumfounded about her raw strength.
-So that's Maya at her full power. – He giggled – Scary.
He approached Maya. She noticed Whitebolt approaching her and walked towards him.
-What do you want here? – She asked with a serious face.
-Are you seriously asking that question? – Answered Whitebolt.
She passed Whitebolt.
-Don't get in my way.
-The main thing will soon approach with an army of golems and Bebels. – Said Whitebolt. He was irritated about how Maya was talking down on him, but couldn't do anything – I barely escaped them. A giant golem about the size of a mountain is probably leading the army.
The ground started to tremble.
-This shaking is the monsters fault? – Asked Maya.
-It is. His footsteps leave a mark on the ground. You will need my...
-I said don't intervene. – Menacingly said Maya.
-*Tsk* fine.
Whitebolt was mad. He killed a couple of stray Bebels when he felt the ground was about to break. He looked up and saw it. This golem, unlike the rest, had two eyes. It still radiated purple energy from its cracks.
-So this is the main thing. – Thought Maya – I need to get this over with fast.
Some guards and adventurers came too.
-Is the Silver Rose going to take that down alone!? – They though.
Another hundred Dark Golems and Bebels came along. Whitebolt approached Maya.
-You take on the big thing, I will take care of the rest.
Maya reluctantly said.
-Fine. – She took out her rapier.
Whitebolt created a spear and they ran towards them. In their way, the two couldn't been stopped. Anything in their sight was dying like flies.
-You fight well. – Giggled Whitebolt.
Maya didn't answer. The giant golem jumped and lander where Whitebolt and Maya were fighting, killing the remaining golems and Bebels from the impact. Whitebolt got hurt too. A rock hit his leg.
-AH! My leg might be broken. – Irritably said Whitebolt.
-I warned you to not intervene. – Said Maya – Run to safety. I will take this monster down. – She said with confidence.
The giant golem hit the ground with it's boulder, spitting the ground in half. Maya jumped on it and started running upwards. The golem swung it's hand, trying to knock her down. Maya slid below it, piercing it from below.
-Light Discharge.
The sword crystal shined and from the tip of the rapier, an explosion happened. The monsters arm was exploded off and it hit the ground. The golem got mad and hit the ground with it's leg with full power. Rocks came flying in the air. Maya dodged everything and got on the creatures head. She pierced it with her sword.
-Light Discharge! – She shouted.
The monsters head exploded and it fell on the ground. Adventurers and guards cheered on. Whitebolt, on the other hand, felt weak.
-She took that down with so little effort. – He looked on his hand – While I was unable to fight from only one attack.
Maya approached them
-I knew you could do this!
-All hail the Silver Rose!
-I don't need this much praise you people. – Maya giggled – But thank you.
Maya suddenly turned around. She felt a strong presence. Whitebolt felt it too. They saw a man in a purple cloak approaching them, slowly clapping.
