Chapter 74: Norikos Mistake

*A couple of months later*

Rekka swung his long sword. Fireballs were created, heading towards Maya. Maya, with a grin, swung her sword and extinguished the fire. Rekka appeared from the sky, but Maya jumped back and Rekka landed on the ground. He then immediately jumped forwards, aiming for her head. He was mastered speed magic, utilizing it to it's fullest. Maya smiled. She disappeared, but Rekka swung his sword behind his back, thinking Maya was there. He has mistaken and Maya lightly kicked him, knocking him on the ground. Rekka healed himself and got back to the fight. He was now fighting like a true warrior. He has tested his PL, and it was 15.000. At first, everyone was amazed, but somehow, they expected it.

-Can I show you my new move? – Asked Rekka while gasping for air.

-Sure. – Answered curious Maya.

Rekka took a stance and closed his eyes. He then opened them and swung his sword sideways. A thin wave of fire flew at a tree, cutting it in half, but not setting anything on fire. Maya dropped her jaw while looking at happy Rekka.

-How long did it t-take you to learn that? – Asked Maya in a frail voice.

-About two months. – Answered Rekka. He looked proudly at his sword.

-This boy, I can't believe it. – Thought Maya – Only two months? That's amazing! – She tried to cheer Rekka on.

Rekka smiled back with a bright face.

-Sadly, our training will soon be cut short. – Said Maya in a sad tone.

-What? Why? – Rekka was confused.

-My home will soon be rebuilt, and I won't be needing to stay here anymore.

-But... - Rekka dropped his head.

-Sorry but, I have overstayed my welcome. – Maya put her hand on Rekka head – Our training for today is enough. You have shown massive growth.

-Thanks. – Rekka sighed.

-By the way, what about the tree you just cut down? – Maya smiled.

-Oh... - Rekka started sweating and put his hand on the back of his head – I will talk to Whitebolt about that.

Maya giggled. They went back to the mansion and ate. Rekka then said goodbye to everyone and headed towards the city. On the way, he looked at his hands.

-Have I really gotten strong enough? – He thought – Hmm, maybe I should try that sort of training again.

Rekka headed outside the city grounds. He crossed the borders after a couple of minutes of running. Fifty meters away, he saw a slime pack. Hesitant, he approached them. Slimes sensed him and started closing on on him.

-Please, don't make me do this. – Said Rekka. He clenched his fists.

Slimes jumped on Rekka legs. He endured the pain, but still pointed his hand towards them.

-I'm sorry. – He said as he blasted all of them away.

He walked down in the fields and killed every monster in sight. After an hour, he felt something.

-No, this is wrong. – He thought, tightly gripped his shirt and ran away.

He headed towards the city.

-Why, why didn't I feel anything while killing them? – Thought Rekka.

He arrived at the park. Some kid wearing sunglasses bumped into him.

-Hey, watch where you...

Rekka looked at him with dead eyes. The kid got scared and ran away.

-Weird. – Thought Rekka.

He got to his friends and waved his hand. They waved back.

-Hey, - Kaito approached him – Did something happen? – he asked.

-No, why? – Rekka was confused.

-Oh, it's nothing.

-Let's get back to training! – Sora stood up from the bench – I nearly mastered my MP control.

Maeko looked disturbed while looking at Rekka, but she didn't say anything. They trained for a while.

-I did it! – Said Kaito – Look Rekka! – He created a small MP pool in his hand. It was transparent blue, but you could still barely see it.

-Congratulations! – Said Rekka.

-I need to master it too! – Thought jealous Sora.

Maeko wasn't making a lot of progress and got worried. She went up to Rekka.

-Umm, can you give me advice on MP control? I can't seem to get the hang of it.

-Sure! Hmm... - Rekka started thinking. He remembered the tip Akio gave him and smiled – Consider MP as a part of your body. You should think of moving MP as something like moving your hand.

-Thank you. – Said Maya, but deep down, she knew it wouldn't help.

After a couple of hours, the sun started to set. Rekka waved goodbye and left with Maeko.

-How did you do it Kaito, Mastering MP control? – Asked Sora with enthusiasm.

-I don't know. It just came to me. – Answered Kaito.

A bunch of kids approached the two.

-Hey, - One of them wearing black sunglasses stepped up – do you know who that monster was? – He said while chewing something.

-HEY! – Sora got mad, but Kaito stopped him.

-He is our friend. What do you need? – Said Kaito in a menacing tone.

-Ah? He is a monster and doesn't deserve to breathe the same air as me. – Said the kid in an annoyed tone.

Sora laughed.

-And who are YOU to say that! – He pointed his hand at him and tried to hold in his laughter.

The kid got irritated. He spat on Sora what he was chewing.

-My name is Noriko. Remember it well. Get him.

Sora got mad. He suddenly got tackled by the kids around him. Sora punched back and knocked down a couple of them, but they overpowered him and pinned him on the ground. Kaito put up a fight because of his size and power, but got overpowered as well. They started kicking the two pinned down boys. Noriko crouched in front of them.

-Will you tell me now? – He said while grinning.

-Heh, even if we tell you, what are you going to do? – Sora tried to make fun of him.

-The same thing we are going to do with you. – He giggled and looked at his boys.

They nodded and continued kicking them. After a while, they left.

-I see him almost every day, he should come here tomorrow too, that damn monster. – Thought Noriko.

Kaito and Sora barely stood up. They were covered in bruises. After brushing off some dirt, they headed towards their home. They lived together, as Kaito didn't have a place to stay. When they arrived, their parents got worried, but they only said that they accidentally fell in some dirt.
