Chapter 10: Reunion

-That man was stubborn! – Said Kiyoshi and cracked his back – He didn't change the price at all, no matter how much we bargained with him!

-We still got what we wanted dear. – Calmly said Sara.

They hanged their coats and walked to the living room.

Akio heard the door opening and checked who came. He saw the two and happily started talking to them.

-Uncle Kiyoshi and Aunt Sara! I am so happy to see you two again!

The couple in their mid-30's was startled to see a grown a man in their home. Hina came along.

-Akio came back dad!

-Akio!? – Said Sara – Is that really you Akio! You have grown so much!

Sara tightly hugged him and Kiyoshi shook his hand.

-What made you come back home kid? I thought you were in Highfalls. – Said Kiyoshi.

Akios face changed. He said in a calm voice:

-It's a long story.

Sara went to set the table when she saw a cloak no the couch. She saw a red-haired kid with an nails and got scared.

-Who is this sleeping boy Akio? – She asked.

Akio called them over and they sat down.

-What I am about to say is a secret. If the guards or worse, higher-ups find out he's here, I would get in a lot of trouble.

He proceeded to tell them the story.

Kiyoshi got mad and banged his hand on the table.

-Akio, ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!? – He screamed – You brought that demon creature in my house without a warning! What if he wakes ups and BURNS US ALL! He isn't even your relative, so why are you getting in so much trouble for a little boy!

Akio got mad as well and screamed back:

-HOW DARE YOU SPEAK OF HIM IN A SUCH WAY! He is just a young boy who cannot even talk well or even write, AND HIS PARENTS WERE KILLED IN FRONT OF HIM BY THE GUARDS! – He calmed down - I was in his shoes once too, until I met you people. I was always alone at home because of my dad's work. At least I had friends, while he is seen like a monster by others. I just can't leave him alone. He was scared when I met him in a laboratory, but had the brightest smile when I played with him. - Akio sighed - I just arrived. I don't want us to fight.

Sara tried to calm the both of them down. This was the first time they met in six years and she did not want the two of them to argue.

All of this commotion got Rekka to wake up. He slowly got up and opened his eyes. They were still bright red. This caused the Haruki family to get terrified, but they soon regained their orange color.

-Mom, dad, where arwe you? – The boy said in an exhausted voice.

He was still tired, even though he slept the whole day. He got scared when he saw unknown faces, but got happy when he noticed Akio.

-Akwio! Do you know wherw mom and dad is?

Akio got heart warmed seeing the boy being okay. He noticed he didn't remember what happened.

-Everything is okay Rekka. – Said Akio in a soothing voice. – Your mom and dad are... On a trip! They said they would be busy, but they will come to see you soon!

Rekka got sad when he heard what he said, but was still happy that he was with him.

-Who arwe these people Akwio?

-This is my family Rekka. This is my sister Hina, my uncle Kiyoshi and my aunt Sara.

They all awkwardly greeted him. Rekka smiled and showed the family his sharp teeth with red canines. Sara went to set the table. They ate together, but watching Rekka made the worried.
