12 Kira and Jeff followed Trevor inside the Bacchus Hollywood Hotel. Kira had to make a conscious effort not to be distracted by the building’s glitzy interior. The Valentia Inn was nice enough, but it didn’t have marble floors or gleaming bronze ceilings. Even though the drive had been a little over an hour long, they hadn’t spoken much on the way over. Trevor wasn’t feeling well now that he was starting to sober up. His face was pinched and he had one arm folded across his abdomen. Still, he walked through the lobby without pause, continuing toward the elevator, which they rode up to the top floor. “This way,” Trevor said as the elevator doors slid open, leading them down an empty hallway.
