"THE VAMPIRE'S GAME " CHAPTER-2

AFTER UNIVERSITY ~

Maria asked, “Where should we go now?”

Rayan replied, “Let’s go to a café first. Then we can figure out where to go after that.”

Everyone agreed, and they took the bus to a nearby café. Little did they know, someone was following them—especially Maria.

At the café, Maria went to order coffee. The person making the drinks and serving the tables seemed a little off. While handing her the tray, he deliberately brushed her hand. Immediately, Maria felt the same unsettling vibe she had experienced yesterday in the forest and at the bus stop. A chill ran down her spine, and she started shivering.

Trying to shake off the fear, she returned to the table and served everyone their drinks. They sipped their coffee and chatted casually about university life, pretending nothing was wrong.

But the tension hadn’t gone unnoticed. Someone was watching them. When Rayan placed his hand on Maria’s shoulder, the waiter suddenly slammed his hand on the table. The sound made everyone jump. He didn’t say a word—he just walked away.

Maria’s heart raced. The familiar, eerie feeling returned—the same presence she had encountered before. Unaware that the man was the same person she had met in the forest and at the bus stop, she tried to distract herself, focusing on her friends’ chatter.

Eventually, they left the café, but the sense of being followed lingered, like a shadow just out of sight..

Throughout the day everyone enjoyed except Maria..

MARIA’S POV!!!

Oh my gosh — I can’t shake this. Someone’s following me. On the road, at the café, even in my classes — always there, just out of sight. Since yesterday I’ve felt it: that cold, crawling presence that makes my skin prickle and my hands go numb. My heart won’t stop. I am unable to express how i am feeling right now should just go home. Lock the door. Sleep. Pretend it wasn’t real.

END OF MARIA’S POV...

Ryan- Maria? is everything okay?

Maria- Y Yeahh.. can I ask you something??what do you know about Vampires?? like how they look like or anything??

Ryan went silent

Maria- Tell me!!

Ryan- look! In simple words vampires are really dangerous creatures, they're no mercy, they don't feel any emotions, they'll always harm you.. and everyone...

Maria- can you come at my place for tonight? please I'm feeling scared.

Ryan- Absolutely yes..

BUT SOMEONE WAS LISTENING AND FEELING JEALOUS...

Ryan- Guys Maria is feeling a little off I'm gonna drop her off..

Emma- okayy

John- Maria you can call us if need anything OK?

Emma- obviously Maria.. don't worry about that forest accident. It's all fiction..

Maria just nodded

Ryan- Bye guys

John- I think Ryan likes Maria

Emma- I agree..

AT MARIA’S PLACE..

Ryan- You can rest.. now

Maria- Are leaving me alone??

Ryan- Nope I can never leave you alone.. I'm just gonna play some games in living room..

Maria- Alright

Ryan- You sleep well..

Maria is alone in her room resting but.. someone locked the door of her room and Ryan was outside playing games and they both had no clue what's going happen..

Babe?? someone called Maria in a sweet voice

But Maria was sleeping peacefully and didn't answer

again

Babe??

This time Maria woke up and froze

MARIA SAW JUSTIN FOR THE FIRST TIME HIS FACE , EYES, HIS VOICE everything giving her shivers down her spine..

She felt same fear, same unsettling vibe, same presence she had encountered yesterday..

Maria was shivering unable to scream

Babe? are you good? Justin asked

Maria froze her heart raced don't what to answer

babe?

Finally Maria gathered some courage and answered him

Maria- Who are you? what are doing in my room ??

Justin- Ahhhhh!! Just chill babe ..

Maria- why the hell are you calling me babe?? I'm not your babe!!

Justin- Oohh so you don't remember me?!!

Maria- You're v vam vampire?

Justin- Yupp I'm vampire!!

after listening this Maria fainted..

THE NEXT MORNING

Ryan was banging the door

wake up Maria it's 9am we're gonna be late for our lecture..

Mariaaa???? are you sleeping??????

why you locked the door of your room?!!

Maria opened the door. She was looking pale and sick.

I'm not feeling well therefore I'm not going anywhere..

Ryan- But-

Maria- Just leave me alone...

Ryan- call me if you want anything..

Maria just nodded..

MARIA’S POV ~

I know it was not dream.. it was reality... I'm not crazy.. I'm not gonna be scared this time... let's talk to him.. I'm so tired by all of this.. let's talk to him today without being scared..

Also, I'm not tell anyone about this.. I know he's nearby let's call him..

END OF MARIA’S POV ~

JUSTIN!!!!!! Maria shouted

no answer

JUSTIN!!!!!!!

Again no answer

JUS-

YES BABE Justin answered..

Justin appeared outta nowhere and the room was full of smoke....

Maria coughs

This time Maria didn’t flinch. She looked him straight in the eyes and asked, “Are you really a vampire?”

Justin blinked, unnerved. “Oh my gosh — you’re looking into my eyes. You’re not scared of me anymore.”

“Just answer the question. Are you a vampire?” Maria repeated.

He swallowed. “Yes. I am.”

Maria folded her arms. “There are millions of people who dream about vampires. They wish to meet one, to talk to one. Why did you come to me? Why not them? Yesterday you came to my room and told me I was a vampire — I fainted. That wasn’t a dream, was it?”

“No,” Justin said softly. “It wasn’t a dream. It was me. It was real

“Why only me?” Maria demanded, eyes locked on him.

“You said you wanted me to be your girlfriend out in the forest — I respected that courage. Justin answered. Maria said don’t make me a fool. There are millions who dream of vampires. There are people who worship the idea of you. So why me? Why come only for me?”

She leaned in. “When I couldn’t see your face I was terrified. Now I look at you and I don’t even flinch. Something about you doesn’t feel like harm. Tell me the truth — is this a coincidence or something deeper? Justin, don’t lie. I trust you with everything, so don’t betray that. Look at me and tell me.”

Justin was having tears in this eyes. They both were looking at each other.
