  BLOODY SINNER'S   April wiped the sweat from her brow, trying to ignore the growing unease in her stomach. She was in the kitchen, helping Lydia prepare for the upcoming evening meal. The clattering of pots and the savory aroma of cooking filled the room, but all she could focus on was the wave of dizziness that suddenly washed over her.   She gripped the edge of the counter, hoping the feeling would pass, but instead, it intensified. Her stomach churned, and she felt a sudden urge to retch. Panic flared up within her- she couldn't be sick, not now, not here. Lydia was only a few steps away, stirring a pot with her back turned to April.
