Aella POV We were so exhausted when we arrived in our house.  "You guys looked so tired." My mother said as she put down the tray in the glass center table.  "Are you already touring around the New York City, Vincent”? She asked as she sat on the couch. "We didn't even started, Mom." I said as I get one of the orange juice, and a cookie she made. "So did you run in a marathon then”? She asked giving us a warm smile. "Hmmm-uhmm." I said, chewing the chocolate cookie. "This is delicious." I said to mom, and Vincent nodded in agreement. "Yes, one of the best I’ve ever tasted" He said. I think my mother blush a little but brush it off. "Thank you." She said. "Where did you go then”? She asked changing the topic. My mother doesn't want hearing compliments in her cooking skills, aside from us though. "We had some lunch, and some paparazzi went to us when we were exiting the restaurant." Andrew said, closing his eyes as he holds his glass. He really looks exhausted. "Yeah. But the good thing is Nancy showed up, and rescued us." I said. "Oh! By the way. What about the car we used”? I asked to, Andrew. "Zoey is on her way there." Andrew said. I nodded. "Hey there, Aunts, and Unks!" we heard Tina said as she launches herself on the couch and gets a cookie. "Unks? Really”? Andrew asked Tina, who is now grinning. "Yeah, Uncle's too long so Unks will do." She said, shrugging. "By the way, Aunt Jackie" said, Andrew to Mom, catching her attention "Aella's tattoo is all over the internet." Andrew said without hesitation. I slap his shoulder. "You don't need to tell her that." I said earning a look from mother. "Thanks for the warning." I added. "Why? How”? Mom asked. "Vincent were shielding her from the cameras so he covered her with her arm but I think the situation made her blouse to rise, and revealed her tattoo.", Andrew explained. "Yes. You're all over the internet." Tina confirmed, showing us her phone with my tattoo on the screen. Mom snatched Tina's phone, and look at several pictures. "So Vincent..." She started. Oh here we go. "You were covering my daughter”? She asked. Vincent smiled at her, and nodded. There's no sign of nervousness in his face, and body. He's being cool. "It’s almost a hug though." Mom said. "Hey mom!" I interrupted. "Stop that." I added. "What? I'm just asking Vincent here." She replied. "Isn't Vincent”? She asked, looking at him directly. He smiled. "Yes, Mrs. Moore." Vincent replied. "No, don’t call me Mrs. Moore. That sounds so old. Call me Jackie or Aunt Jackie." Mom said, shrugging. "Yes, Jackie." Vincent replied. "So as I was saying, the headline talks about you having a secret woman." She started again. "Does that mean you have a thing towards my daughter”? Mom asked. "Mom!!!" I reacted. Andrew, and Nancy chuckled. "Ugh!" I know there's no way I can stop my mother from interrogating him. Well, there's nothing to say. It’s not like he's having a thing for me. But you're still waiting for his answer, Aella. "Yes." I heard Vincent said, softly. God? Am I dreaming? Did I hear it right? "Yes to having a secret woman or yes to have a thing”? Mom asked. "I have a thing towards your daughter, Ma'am" Vincent replied to Mom as he looks in her eyes directly making me look in shocked. How? What? Huh? Those were exactly my thoughts. "I just don't know if she feels the same." Vincent added. My mother, she looks like she's in shock as well but managed easily. She smiled warmly. "Well. I think the feeling is mutual, so I'm welcoming you in our family." Mom said to Vincent as she gave him a hug. What. Did. Just. Happened? Vincent returned my mom's hug. This is so embarrassing. "You stay for dinner." She said to all of them. "Oh! What did I miss”? We heard Zoey asked as she walked towards us, and throwing the keys to, Andrew. She kissed my mom who is now going to the kitchen. "You missed a lot, Aunt Zoey." Tina said, looking at her phone, texting. Why is she always texting? "Yeah!" Andrew, and Nancy said in unison. "So what did I miss, actually”? She asked me. I didn't answer. "Vincent just poured out his heart towards Aella to Aunt Jackie." Andrew said, tapping Vincent shoulder. Vincent smiled. "He did what”? Zoey asked again as if she didn't hear it the first time. "He confessed his love to Aella through Aunt Jackie." Nancy explained. "We should celebrate at least." Zoey said as she eats her cookie. "Ah... Guys? We're here”? I said to all of them. Vincent looked at me, and I think I can't look at him directly. I'm blushing. "Someone's blushing with just one look." Tina teases making me roll my eyes at her. "And she rolls her eyes too." She added. Nancy decided to stand up, and collect their glasses. "C'mon, let's help Aunt Jackie for dinner, let this love birds talk." She said, and the others nodded. When they all went out, and in the kitchen, no one speaks between Vincent, and I. He's looking at me. I can feel it. It’s like he's doing a hole in my face. "This is so awkward." I said. "I don't think so." Vincent said as he stood up, and moves a little closer to me but not invading my space. "Those were true, anyways." He added. "You... Ah... You have a thing”? I asked him, without looking. "Hey..." He said as he touches my chin. "Don't look down; I can't see your face." He said as he tries to raise my chin, and caress my cheek. I'm melting. Damn it! Why I feel like a teenager. Goodness! I'm blushing. When he raises my chin, I met the most glazing blue eyes I've ever seen. I'm melting even more. It’s a panty dropping eyes. I shake my thoughts. He looks me in the eyes as If I'm the most beautiful woman in the world. "I like you, Aella." He said. "But.... It’s too soon, you think”? I said to him. "I mean, we just met like a week ago." I added. "Time may be the essence but you...you made me like you with your personalities, and cheerfulness in just one snap, and God! Your voice it does things to me that I can't imagine. It made me fell for you." He confessed. Is this real? Is this even real? I asked myself. "Time isn't important, love is. Time will just make me more suffer if I don't tell you that I like you." He said. I'm so speechless. I saw Nancy, Zoey, Tina, mom, and even, Andrew peeking behind the bar stool. I chuckled. "I don't know why you're chuckling but maybe you're amused." Vincent said. "I'll wait for your answer. That I can wait" He added, smiling. I smiled at him, and thought the most ridiculous thing. I pick up our glasses, and move to him closely. Very very close. Our faces are inch apart, and then for the last sigh I release, I kissed him in the lips. It’s so soft, and yet so... So.. .delicious. No!!!! Strong, firm. That's it. It’s not a long kiss, more like a smack, a peck just two seconds, I think. "I like you too." I said before standing up, carrying our glasses. "Come on guys! Stop hiding!" I shouted, and saw them standing one by one with a grin on their faces.
