Chapter Thirteen

1259 Words
It’s time for us to go home, but I don't want to. I mean, I don't like to go back in New York and work again. My job is tiring. It requires you a lot, and when I say lot I mean, big letters an L-O-T. I need to be good about managing people, a good decision maker, and even look presentable even in the most chaotic days of the week. Friday, and Saturday I close my eyes, and I try to recall the best days we've been here.  Yes, especially the TV or cuddle thing. "Don't worry we'll be staying in New York for a week. You don't need to worry about me, leaving you." I heard Vincent said before he went inside the Van. You'll still leave me soon.  Well, lucky me. He sits besides the seat I'll be sitting. I release a sigh, and thought of a backup plan to get my revenge to that man who just thought I'm thinking of him. But you're thinking of him actually. More like a dream. When I sat on the seat, I look at him, and he gave me a smirk. "I thought of a solution to what I was thinking just now." I started, making him smirk. He leans closer to me and look in my eyes. You can do it, Aella. "And what solution is that”? He asked, still looking in my gray eyes. I look around the Van to see if they're looking at us but fortunately, they're all like flat tires. They're sleeping. I smiled at him, look at his very seducing lips. He smirks. He's thinking I'm going to kiss him. I lean more closely to him,, and making our lips almost touch. Guys calm down, I almost say. I feel like my blood is flowing rapidly making my whole body sweat. But still I know I can say it. "My solution is....." I whispered, more like of a romantic sound. "Not to say it to you because I wasn't thinking about you." I said before I slam my back on my seat, leaving Vincent hanging, and shocked. He didn't believe I would do that. I resisted temptation. That is a good sign. "Oh…" I heard him say. Vincent POV To hide my shock, and little dismay that she didn't kiss me, I lean my back on the seat and look at her once more. This will be a very long drive going to the airport. I thought to myself as I glance at Aella one more time before I close my eyes but then I was interrupted by a continuous vibrate making me gasp in frustration. I fished out my phone and answer it without looking at the caller ID. "Johnson." "Mr. Johnson, sorry for disturbing your vacation but we need to have a conference call with you regarding this new venture." Sam, my personal assistant said. You might think that I am talking to a woman. But guess what? I'm not. I don't like women to be my personal assistant because that would just create another issue on me. You know, those bosses, and their assistant’s fantasies that you guys like. "I'm still in a van, and we're on our way to the airport." I said. "How much time do you need”? I asked. "30 minutes, sir." He said, and I ended the call. Aella looked at me puzzled. "Why”? I asked. "Nothing" She said before looking outside the window. "No really, why”? I asked. "You didn't say thanks." She said. "Oh..." I said before dialing on my phone, and put it on the speaker, loud enough for her to hear. On the second ring, he answered. "Yes, Mr. Johnson”? He said. "I'll call you after five minutes. Thanks!"I said not wanting to hear what my assistant will reply. He might have thought that I'm out of my mind. I look at Aella, and she looks so shocked making me chuckle. "Are you Mr. Grey or something”? She asked. "Do I sound like him”? I asked. "No." She said. "Good to know because I'm much more handsome than him." I said with a grin. "Yeah sure, and eww!" She said, sticking out her tongue, and look away. When we arrived at the airport, we walked in separate ways because; we'll be in the business class while they'll be in the regular seats. Going to New York passed in a blur, I spent the half of it talking to my associate while the other half is thinking of Aella, and what she's doing right now. "Why are they in the first class”? I asked, Andrew who is busy looking at his phone. When I look at it, he exits it but I had a glanced with a picture of my little sister. "You're checking her pictures again." I said, looking at the window. "I just can't help but look at her to find comfort." He said sadly. He loves my sister that much it hurts him not to see her ever again. He's my best friend but I don't know what to say to him so that he'll forget how painful it was -- Even me. Looking at the window, I remember how my little sister looks like if she sees, Andrew like this. I need to do something. Maybe find a woman to date him? But no, the last time I did that, he just ignored the woman all throughout the dinner. Someday Someday he'll find someone for him. A woman that will like him like how I like Aella, a woman that will love him more than my little sister did. Wait, what???? Did I just say like how I like Aella? That is so wrong. I don't know if I like her or what but I wanted to see her like every other minute. Aella POV I stretched my arms as we walk outside the airport, and look if, Andrew, and others are already outside. I guess sitting for more than half an hour doesn't suit me, my back aches. I'm more used to walking around and maybe that's because of where I work. As I shake my arms and legs, I saw Vincent, and, Andrew went out of a car. It’s a black Lamborghini, and it looks so beautiful, and if it’s a man, I would say that he is so handsome. But the one who came out from the driver side is much more handsome. I thought to myself. God, I'm such a charmer if he could hear my thoughts. But, where did they get that? "Nice car you have." Said my father to Vincent "We just rented it for the whole week that we'll be here." He replied, making my father nods his head. "Sir, can I ask something from you”? Vincent added. "You just asked a question but yeah sure." My father replied. "May I ask if it’s okay to you if Aella rides with us”? Vincent asked, shocking me. My father froze a bit but chuckles, and my mother is grinning wide "I thought you'll ask for her hand or something." My father teases, making me blush. Yes, I'm blushing. Who wouldn't? "Someday" Vincent said, smiling. "That is so sweet, son." My mother said, tapping Vincent shoulder. Did she just call him son? "Ah.. Guys? I'm still here." I said to all of them. "It’s meant for you to hear it." My mother said, making me roll my eyes. "Ah…daughter? You just rolled your eyes at me." Said my mother, imitating my tone
