EPISODE 5 - Allyn's Family (ii)

Though A1 was the second most powerful code in the squad, she told B2, ‘Everyone considers you the least code. If I am to be the second least, I will take your position and you will be the second.’ ‘Just don’t stay close’ she added.

From that moment, she began helping B2 in the daily fatal trainings, and she had a lot to teach her while protecting her. B2 asked, ‘Can I call you Sister?’ ‘There’s nothing like that here!’ retorted A1.

When eating, other Codes talked about nothing except how embarrassed they felt seeing B2 around them. But she always said to herself, ‘even if she doesn’t want me close, I will try to remain strong’.

It hurt A1 each time she read her mind. One day she screamed, ‘I don’t want you to think anything about me! Stay away from my head!’ She walked away.

Hours later, B2 followed her and stood behind, ‘I am sorry, I will not think about it again. And I will keep myself away from you.’

Every word spoken or letter written was seen and recorded. When the government brought A1, they underestimated her, ‘Keep record of every word spoken or letter written. If anyone knows anything about us, kill them immediately’

A1 avoided B2 not only because she felt embarrassed, but because she also wanted to preserve her own life.

The government finally decided to get rid of B2. They gave her an order to assassinate Joshua’s wife and take both the child and a bag that she was going to find inside the house.

She flew to Mexico and murdered Joshua’s wife. With clear orders, she took the child away from her dead mother and lifted the bag to drive away.

Just as she thought she had accomplished her mission taking a sigh of relief, she realized she was tailed by a black Benz. The Mercedes was approaching with full throttle and before she knew it, the driver of the car hit into the rare of her car swerving her off the road into a ditch. Joshua then quickly got out of the car, opened her back door and grabbed his baby. But before he could get far B2 quietly stabbed him from behind.

The police arrived quickly and only found Joshua. B2 had jumped into a nearby car and driven away. Joshua could not go to the hospital, he walked away from them and took his daughter with him.

Meanwhile, the government had sent two other Codes to kill B2. Fortunately, she barely defeated them, and escaped and went back to the base in Russia.

At their home in Russia, she went to give a report, ‘I carried out the mission as you wanted but I was distracted on my way back:’

‘If you stabbed him you have nothing to worry about. Your sword is not an ordinary sword he will die within forty-eight hours.’ They asked, ‘did you see what was inside the bag?’ ‘No’ she answered. ‘You can go’.

They instructed Code X, the most powerful Code to monitor her. B2 was not at ease with herself, they had erased her mind time and again but she was getting back to normal. She went to A1,

‘They meant to kill me; they are going to kill me aren’t they?’

A1 said, ‘you think you can be like me? I don’t want you near me ever again!’

The other Codes stood starring, ‘why do they keep her anyway?’ they asked themselves.

This came about when she labeled her coat Code A1. She wasn’t troubled by not having powers, all she wanted was to be part of the squad. On that day, she walked about freely. She danced to them, and she was funny. The Codes laughed with her thinking she was A1. However, A1 was hurt and couldn’t understand why.

A1 improved her hearing ability. From her apartment, she heard the government instructing Code X to kill B2 in the night. ‘She’s of no use, kill her quietly and bring us the dead body’

A1 then walked out silently and saw B2 struggling to climb the wall. Though she wanted to report to the government, she cut off power and watched her escape. And by midnight, B2 was on the way to Mexico.

Code X reported to the government immediately. Since A1 had shut down the alarm system, the government re-ran the surveillance cameras but again could not find anything.

‘It must be A1 and not any other Code!’ screamed the most powerful Code.

They called A1 and gave her a new mask, ‘find B2 and kill her. You have twenty-four hours before your head explodes.’

B2 arrived in Mexico and went to Joshua’s house. Hardly had she started going by the road when Joshua suddenly appeared in front of her holding the child by hand. ‘What did you do to me?’ he was sweating all entire body and fell on the ground.

She looked the other side and saw an opening, she took Joshua with her and stayed underground. The moment she reached Joshua’s house, the government lost track of her location. They told A1, ‘you have six hours remaining.’

Joshua’s wound was growing bigger. His heart was empty; he asked again, ‘what did you do to me?’ he then said, ‘take the child and keep her until I come.’ He fell unconscious.

B2 opened the wound where she had stabbed him and sacked the poison out of the body. However, it moved faster in her body for she had no powers to slow it down.

Hours later, Joshua gained conscious and woke up in the face of his daughter who had been calling constantly. Her face was covered in tears. He saw B2 lying on the ground too. He uncovered her face; made a cut on her hand and drained the poison out of the body.

When they had both gathered little strength, A1 found them; Joshua could not do much apart from watching. She had stabbed B2 and proved her loyalty to the government.

B2 desired to end everything. She screamed no more and thought likewise. ‘I thought you were my Sister’

With visual cameras, the government was watching though they could not track the location.

Seeing B2 with her mirror face, A1 wanted to run away but Joshua closed the way out by special powers. She hit the door with all her strength and sat shivering while memories flooded her mind. She rejected her Sister several times. She felt embarrassed? She squeezed herself in the corner.

The government knew that A1 recognized her twin Sister, ‘blow the damn heads, now!’
