I sucked in a steadying breath. Today is the day. The twins become Alpha, and I become Luna. I smoothed my hands over the white dress I wore. I wore my hair in loose waves with the side pulled back into a blue crescent moon barrette. I wore the bracelet the twins got me for Christmas as well as the necklace they gave me at the Summit. My engagement rings adorned my finger like always. I slipped on my heels just as someone knocked at the door.
“Come in,” I called. Carson opened the door and gave me a warm smile.
“Ready?” he asked. I nodded. Walking over to him, he held out his arm for me to take. He would be my escort down the aisle later tonight in the absence of my parents. Much to the twins’ annoyance, Carson and I were really close now.
“You don’t seem nervous,” he commented
