Cullen We walked around the ballroom exchanging pleasantries with people before dinner began. Jaime gliding along next to me, playing the part perfectly. For some reason, it irritated me more how easily she was acting as if nothing was wrong, as if nothing had changed. I stirred the drink in my hand before sipping it. The small talk was not holding my attention tonight even if I recognized the necessity of networking in my position.
