We left Remi to get ready upstairs once we were both changed. Calder and I went down to the living room to wait for our mate. She promised not to be long. She had finally gone into the closet when we were leaving, and I didn’t miss the gasp that came from her.
Pip had disappeared by the time we came back downstairs, probably to one of the bedrooms. I was curious what she had done about the contractors coming in to make the changes to our room. None of them had mentioned anyone staying here. When we were through with the Summit, she was going to need to come back to the packhouse and come clean to her family. Although I had no real issue with her being here, she was lying to her family and that was not to be tolerated.
