'Does he deserve your trust? What if all these aren't genuine?' the little voice in my head questioned, but I shoved the thought away. Chuck just saved me when I lost all hope. Of course, he deserves my trust. He is my mate and my wolf wholly accepted him.
Charles wasn't anywhere around, which got me wondering where he might be, but I kept it in. There was so much happening and I wouldn't want Chuck to get mad at me more than the way he was.
He was mad but trying so hard to keep it down. I deserve his yelling and anger for taking a step I wasn't sure of. Leaving only placed my life in a danger I wasn't ready for.
