Charles's POV:
It was almost time to meet up with Kate and as usual, the thought of Vanessa clouded my mind. I hadn't seen her in a while. I picked up my jacket from the bed and went out, heading to her room.
I pushed the door open but found her maid instead. She quickly bowed her head, not daring to look up.
"Where is Vanessa?"
"She's in the Alpha's room, my lord."
Chuck's room? I rolled my fist into a ball thinking of what they might be doing in there alone. Damn, Chuck.
I stomped out of the room, heading for his. When I got to the door, one of the guards stood in the way, stopping me from going further. I drew my brows together, not pleased with what he did and I planned to make him the one who receives the punch I desperately wanted to give out if he didn't step aside.
