Soon television viewers worldwide watched live shots of the weary but victorious International Peacekeepers (the CF entourage)—Agents Bernhardt, Jordan, and Charlie, along with the real P. J. Austin, one of her decoys, and Harry the cameraman—emerging from the depths of the Rustenburg Platinum Mine near Pretoria.
As the international news correspondents surrounded them with eager questions, the only statement came from the man who had pretended to be one of them himself.
“By now,” CF Agent Bernhardt (a.k.a. Jason Kinard) said, “you’re fully aware of my cover as a reporter. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.” He chuckled. Although he still wore his moustache and baseball cap, he did not reveal his real name or his affiliation with the Collective Force.
