Excitement to the Code of Surprise

Just as the cluster was born, I have remembered something so crucial. It something devastating that I shook and panicked.

"Hey Arthur, how many seconds till the walls are down?"

"Maybe 4 minutes, I guess."

"Oh no! We better hurry on making our weapons. Arthur, grab those split bamboos. Get as much as you can. Lina and Pearl, practice your elements while I will make the weapons. Lina, try using the [FERQUIS PERFECTUS CODE 2 - INSTRUMINUS]. That code will help us making the weapons."

"Hey Philson, don't tell me..."

"Yeah, it's just what you thought, Pearl. Outside these walls is the guardian of this island, the 'Bambotaur'. Remember what the NPC, told us. It said that we must first defeat the guardian of the island before making a civilization on it. This is the first island so it is obvious that we must first defeat that monster before living in this island."

"Here, take these bamboo. I will also help you in making the weapons."

"Thank you Arthur. How many time left?"

"Three minutes till the walls will go down. Let's finish it as fast as possible."

"Yeah let's do it! Lina, try using the code hurry."

"Alright then. [FERQUIS PERFECTUS CODE 2 - INSTRUMINUS]."

After Lina have finished the code, tools for making weapons appeared in front of her. Arthur and I made the weapons fast. I have made a hammer and a lot of arrows that can be used as spears, while Arthur made a bow and a sword. Some of the players even wondered why we are making weapons early in the game.

"Hey Phil, if I can summon those things, why do you need to make weapons?"

"Lina, what you summoned are tools. Tools don't deal damage to monsters, only weapons do."

"Then the hammer you made is useless then, why did you even make it?"

"The hammer I made is classified into weapons. When a player makes a thing, the player himself will classify the thing if it is a weapon or a tool."

"Oh okay."

"Arthur, how many time left?"

"30 seconds. Let's get ready."

"Lina, here take this."

"Pearl, what is this?"

"That is a shield. Use it if the monster tries to attack you. Also, if you think we are about to die, use the [FERQUIS PERFECTUS CODE 3 - RESTILUTEM]. That code will heal you and your clustermates, so that we can continue on attacking the monster."

"Roger that."

"10 seconds, before the wall is down."

"Guys let's get ready. We will take down this monster."

"5... 4... 3... 2... 1..."

"Let's go!"

The walls are finally down. What we saw is a beautiful nature with no stain of humanity. It is the most beautiful world I have ever seen. All the players ran with joy, but we four, walked carefully and stayed alert.

"Hey you four, why are you being careful? There is no enemy in here. The game just started."

"No! The NPC said that before we can make a civilization on an island, we must first beat the island's guardian."

"Look boy, there is nothing here but nature. There is no monste..."

"Ahhhhhh!"

Before the stranger finished his words, one player got eaten by a bull with a body of a human. It is the Bambotaur. On its right hand lies a large bamboo stick, the rare weapon - Fermentum.

"Pearl, try shooting its eyes with codes. Arthur, also shoot his eyes. Use this bow and arrow."

"Here goes. [FERQUIS AQUA CODE 2 - MAREBUM]."

"Take this, monster!"

"Ok Lina, how much health is taken?"

"Arthur's arrow took 5 HP while Pearl's code took 7 HP. It has a remaining 88 HP."

"What! That is too low compared to what I think it would be. Pearl, what are the other players doing?"

"They are just running. No one's trying to fight it."

"Phil, we should attack it with codes instead of weapons. That way, we can beat him faster."

Lina's words made my head hurt a little. It felt like I have heard those words before. But what is it? I feel like this is something so important and crucial. Wait! Codes, element, AER, PERFECTUS. Wait, PERFECTUS?! That's it!

"Hey Lina, do you remember when I said the PERFECTUS is weak because it only has 3 codes?"

"Yeah, what about that?"

"I just have remembered something from the future. There is a fourth code! Something so strong, that it can defeat this monster. It is called [DAMLATE], a code which kills a guardian. But in return, the user's HP will be depleted on how much was the target's HP. If the user is a part of a cluster, the HP depletion is shared with his clustermates. One person have 30 HP and the monster only have 88 HP. That code will take only 22 HP from each of us."

"Wait, then that means we will only have 8 HP each. I can't do it, Phil."

"Don't worry, when we are down to 8 HP, use the [FERQUIS PERFECTUS CODE 3 - RESTILUTEM]. It will heal us. I will take this shield. Cast the code when the guardian hits us."

"Alright."

I took the shield, then ran towards Arthur and Pearl who keeps dodging the guardian's attacks.

"Arthur, Pearl! Retreat! Hey, monster! Kill me if you can!"

Arthur and Pearl retreated while I stayed to take the attack with the shield. When the monster attacked, it is the time.

"Lina, now!"

"Okay, focus, don't panic. [FERQUIS PERFECTUS CODE 3 - RESTILUTEM]."

And with that, our HPs are down to 8. The depleted HPs took the form of a spear and struck the guardian's chest. And with that attack, the Bambotaur fell down.

"Lina, you did it!"

"Wait Phil! Somethings coming up from the guardian. Better be ready."

"No wait! That's just its soul. It will not attack us. The soul of the guardians only give rewards to the cluster who have defeated it."

"Oh, brave warriors of Orient Cluster, you have defeated me for you are strong. You are stronger than anyone here. And I will give you a strong weapons for the strong warriors. May you grow far stronger with the use of my gift."

And just like that, the soul vanished. Meanwhile we are rewarded several weapons. Arthur got the 'Fuliaken', shurikens that are shaped like a bamboo leaf. Pearl got the 'Sequantum', a bamboo which can hold water. The water can attack enemies if it is combined with the [AQUA CODE 3]. Lina got the 'Fermagicum', a code wand which can boost the strength of the casted code. And I got the 'Farcentum', a rare bow and some bamboo arrows. With these weapons, we will become the game's best cluster.
