Episode 41-Ice cold princess

1768 Words
Alex was getting more and more worried about Angela’s absence in the house, she was becoming more and more restless. “I think you should give yourself some moment to breathe” Amber said as she walked past him and straight for the dining room where most of them were now seated. “He can’t” Lily voiced while walking down the stairs in a new set of clothing. “Why can’t he? I mean it’s not like the princess can’t manage herself she’s the strongest amongst us, even though she didn’t go to the academy with us, I’ve seen what she can do” Hematite backed but Lily had a different idea. “He can’t be comfortable except he’s in the same physical space as the princess, that’s what mates are for, his restlessness could also be because the princess is in danger” Alex’s eyes brightened in utmost shock on realising that what she was saying might actually be true. “I’ll go check up on her” Alex announced grabbing his woven jacket on the cushion. “Or not? If your restlessness isn’t as a result of the princess being in danger she might be annoyed by your presence. Don’t act too clingy Alex, let the princess do her thing” Lily advised while sinking her back into the dining chair she was sitting on. “But what if she really is in danger?” Alex decided to consider the possibility. “She would have wing-called you by now, have a little faith” Lily replied while taking the unripe apple on the table and slowly making it ripe. “Besides the princess have Morgan, Ruby and Rose with her, I’m sure she will be fine” Dylan put in while working out of the kitchen with an appetizing plate of omelette in his hands but Alex gave him an annoyed expression for his input, he needn’t his suggestion, he was his nephew but then his presence had not for once enticed him or excite him. Before he joined the group, he used to think it wouldn’t be a big deal getting along with him but ever since he joined them his presence had caused him nothing but annoyance and irritation. “That looks nice, why don’t-” Hematite’s actions was cut short by Dylan’s caution. Being from the family of Agapi, Hematite could influence or alter anyone’s actions or thinking; she could make literally anyone obey her but the royal family was an exception, they just seem to have some kind of repellent in them, one that shield them from being compelled by angels of love. “Hematite, don’t” Dylan cautioned as Hematite tried to set into her old tricks. “You’re no fun- “If you are so hungry; I suggest you make yourself some food” Dylan retorted before grabbing a seat by the dining table.the long armless gown she had on ”Almost all of us are from the outer circle of royalty. None of us have ever cooked by ourselves, we are cooked for and that’s why it isn’t so easy for us” Hematite sadly relayed and Dylan groaned realising Hematite had resulted emotionally blackmailing him. It wasn’t fun. “So, why don’t we just do it this way, you let me have my meal in peace and I promise I will enter the kitchen a big meal, how about that?” Dylan negotiated and Hematite reluctantly agreed. “That will be nice at least, we are all starving, the princess used oversee the food and the cooking…Apparently none of us can cook” Garnet agreed while still giving Dylan’s food a hungry look. Dylan wasn’t so comfortable among the set of very hungry Angels, even Alex wasn’t left out in that but he ate anyway then walked into the kitchen to prepare something for the rest of the group. “We are lacking some stuffs…Hematite, Amber…do you think you can go into town to get some baking soda, salt, sugar, eggs and-” Dylan pursed surveying the groceries left in the kitchen. “You know what? I’ll just go with you to get the stuffs” Dylan offered and the girls gladly stood. “I’ll just have a quick change” Amber said wanting to head upstairs but Hematite stopped her. “What’s wrong with the one you’re wearing?” She queried and Amber looked down to short flowery dress she had on. “It’s really is nice but I’m thinking of putting on something more decent, I mean I look like I’ve been sitting home all day- “Isn’t that what you’ve been doing?” Hematite quipped then she noticed something “You look great, anyone seen Pearl, even Jasper isn’t here?” Amber looked around and figured, except from Dylan leaning against the door frame, Lily who had her hands folded as she sat with her back rested into the dining chair, Alex who had laid on the couch, Garnet who was sitting in the armchair that was facing the window, and Hematite who was standing in front of him awaiting for her to arrive at a conclusion, there was no other person downstairs with them. “They should be upstairs, they are mate so…they should probably be down to business if you know what I mean” Garnet remarked while lustfully staring at Amber who blushed by the comment. “Oh, please, we should get going…but hold on a second, how am I supposed to get to the grocery store if none of you have a car or a bicycle for that matter?” Dylan worried and sigh. “Why don’t you, you know…fly? Oh, I remember, you’ve got no wings” Alex sneered and Dylan’s expression turned grim. “Seriously Alex, you’re better than that” Amber frowned before turning back Dylan. “I’ll fly you- “You can’t fly a man Amber, are you serious right now?” Garnet worried for his mate and she turned to him abruptly. “If it disturbs you so much, why don’t you come fly him them because if you don’t, I will” Amber insisted and Garnet groaned before deciding to give in to her request. “That isn’t really necessary- “It is because we are starving and we need food, we can’t cook that by ourselves, the last time I tried I almost blew the kitchen, so will you please help us get groceries” Amber nicely requested and Dylan nodded before Amber shot her mate one last scornful that force him up his chair. “Fine!” He gave in reluctantly and sluggishly followed them out of the house while Alex just scoffed and try to force himself to sleep but was drawn from his state of half-consciousnesses when Lily suddenly spoke. “What is what?” Alex slowly opened his eyes and watched as Lily walked her way out. The cloud was gathering and it was getting darker in a minute it was something very unusual. "It's not natural is it?" Alex asked after he stood and walked closer to the door to see the cloud gathering in the distance and spreading slowly. "Could it...could it be Angie doing that?" Alex worried while staring at the gathering cloud. "No one is powerful enough to do that, she can't be doing that using just her power...she's lending power from her Phoenix...she could be...she could be ice cold right now" Lily turned to Alex who instantly sprouted his wings ready to leap and find his mate. "It's too dangerous, you can't go just yet; whatever that's making her do that...must be so dangerous, you will affect her concentration of you fall in to danger, think about how she's going to feel if you are in danger, don't rush things" Lily cautioned and Alex slowly retracted his wings. "We have to wait until the storm is over" Lily though wanted to solve things rationally was feeling restless and Alex could see it all over her face, she was just as worried as he was but she was cautious, unlike him who don't mind to do things rashly as long as Helen was going to be safe. Together they watch thunder clap in the sky, they watch the sky cry as water started to ooze out of the dark clouds but they waited eventually the rain stopped but what was left was the snow but soon the ground was full of them but they took it as a clue to go look for the princess. Despite staying in the pouch the whole time and not necessarily inside the rain, Lily felt cold as she flew to protect the princess. They were able to follow her aura which was powerful that it could compel them to fall on their knees and worship her. They arrived at the hospital Morgan, Ruby and Rose was in, in a matter of minutes but something was wrong. The princess had the three Angel's frozen, not necessarily frozen, they were unable to move and Alex could guess that because despite their awkward position they were trying to warn him of something and he was shocked to see an ice ball aiming for him. He caught with an instant fire she he built in his hands. "Angie this isn't you...don't let your powers get into your head...Mia if you're hearing me tight now you have to stop her before she does something she will hugely regret. She's not herself right now- "Talking is kind of useless Alex, you have to find her and calm her down with your aura, when AQUA angel's go ice cold like this; he only person who can calm them down is their mate, you've seen that different times and you know...you've had occasions like that, find her and calm her....too much power is running through her veins right now...it's too dangerous" Lily warned and Alex nodded to his request before he started looking his mate who was clearly hiding from him. "Helen I know you're here somewhere, stop hiding from me, please let's talk- "There's nothing to talk about right now, I'm going to kill Vera myself, I can't have her spreading darkness in the city of angels" Helen's voice echoed down the empty hallways of the hospital. "Please Helen tell me where you are? Please...this isn't you" Alex pleaded but he was ignored. "Helen I know-" Alex faked a scream and fell to the ground to incite fear into Helen and it worked. ---------------
