Crystal was dressed in yellow raincoat, thick white beanie cap, pink earmuffs, colourful knitted mittens that completely explains she was leaving the house.
“I was going to pick few stuffs at the convenience store but it seems that might not be possible, there’s heavy rainfall outside” Crystal gave up before slowly explaining to her parents. She draw a chair and sat by the dining table with them but her mind was preoccupied by worries of Damian but then her head started to ache and her head started to feel heavy.
“Are you okay?” Violet questioned but Crystal wasn’t so sure what was up with her, head was heavy and there seems to be strange sounds in her ear.
“I-” Crystal struggled to stand and she started to stagger until she eventually fall.
Violet and Hayden rushed to their daughter and immediately carried her to the sofa. Violet started to examine her but there was no sound of something being wrong with her.
“Come on, Come on Crystal…what’s wrong with you?” Violet called her as she shook her slightly before leaving Crystal to Hayden while rushing upstairs to her room to get her medical kit.
Then she rushed down to check her heartbeat with telescope before proceeding to checking her vitals and some other things which instantly made her think of the shot to give her before she could even inject her she gasped out with her eye colour dilating; a sudden change that Hayden and Violet didn’t notice. Violet let out a deep heavy breath while thanking God that Crystal was fine.
“What the hell was that?” Violet questioned Crystal while still trying to get over the shock of what just happened.
“I…I don’t know” Crystal voiced while staring strangely at her parents.
“Are you okay? What happened? You’re not running a fever or something so what’s wrong? Why did you collapsed like that?” Crystal couldn’t answer and continue to stare at her parents strangely, in fact in a very unfamiliar way.
“It must be exhaustion…you probably need a proper rest; let me get you to bed” Violet offered while helping Crystal to her feet and finally to her room. Hayden follow suit with a tray of omelette and shake.
“But you need to put something in your stomach first before you sleep, here” Hayden offered Crystal the plate and press some to the edge of the fork trying to feed her instead Crystal backed away from the spoon like it was some disgusting material.
“Maybe she just needs…time” Hayden filled in herself while staring suspiciously at Crystal.
“We should probably give her some space” Hayden said before making Violet stand from the chair opposite to her bed. The two worried parents immediately start to head towards the door giving Crystal the space she needed but maintained eye contact with her until they close the door behind them.
“What do you think it’s wrong with her?” Crystal could hear Hayden’s voice from behind the door but Violet’s response was indistinct. Crystal stood and started looking around, she started examining the stuffs in her room. It wasn’t hard to distinguish that Crystal wasn’t the one carrying her body right that moment considering the look on her face as she find the stuffs in the room rather amusing.
Angelique was trying to recover from pushing herself to hard so she could help when she felt stopping snapped, the boundaries around her started deteriorating. There was only two way that could happen, she knew it’s either her mother is dead or she willingly set her free herself.
“Why in the divine’s name would she set me free?” She gritted harshly, feeling immense anger set in. Though outraged and obviously pissed Angela could still not welcome the second possibility, she refused to believe her mother is dead.
Angelique slowly walked to the bed and sit; the pain of her past was still unbearable for her, she had no idea how long she had been trapped in the body she was in but she knew it was long enough to drive her insane, the only reason she was able to survive those years of peace was several moment she used to feel peace and serenity. The one she always feel around her mate, her mother had programmed it and she knew it; her mate was alive somewhere and she just needed to find him. Heaving out heavily she felt tiredness took the best of her and she slowly lay in bed allowing sleep to take the best of her.
Angelique woke up still in Crystal’s body the next day, the fact that she still had no idea what to do was maddening to her.
“Crystal, you should be up by now” A shout came from downstairs and Angelique knew no doubt it was Crystal’s mother Violet, the last time she took control of her she was able to see into her mind. Crystal had a loud vibrating in her head and instantly held her head while trying to stop the sound.
“Get the f**k out of my body!” Someone screamed, it was Crystal and she was fighting her.
“It’s not my fault this is happening to you” Angelique said in defense but Crystal never stopped fighting her resulting to her falling to her knees as she struggled inside her.
“You can’t keep fighting me…you might end dying” Angelique pleaded but Crystal had no intention of stopping.
“Please stop!” Angelique yelled before Violet opened the door to see her groveling.
“Crystal what are you doing you should be getting ready for school?” Violet frowned.
“Yes mom…I woke up late just about to start the preparations, I’m so sorry…It’s because I haven't been feeling so well-” Crystal studied her mother’s expression as she spoke. “But I will soon be ready-
“It’s okay; you can stay back at home today, I’ll call in sick for you…it’s still pretty unsure if your school would be opened today anyway…I mean after the strange incidence that happened yesterday, one of the students getting poisoned and all. It’s better you just stay at home. Your dad have left to drop Jayden…I’m going to the hospital in 10mins…left some changes on the dining table, your breakfast is in the fridge, microwave it anytime you want it. Take good care of yourself” Violet instructed and headed off.
Violet was already dressed in her scrubs, with her hair well tidied up and sneakers sparkling clean before she existed the house and Crystal watched from the landing as she closed the front door behind her making her sigh in relief.
“That was a close one” Crystal sighed completely relieved she was back in control.
“I am still here” Angelique voiced and Crystal panicked leading to her slipping and fall but thankfully; not off the stairs.
“I was set free in your body and I can assume control anytime I want, there’s only two way that could have happened, one is if my mother intentionally do it, the second is if she died, and the only way to find out the answer is finding my sister which I can’t truly find except you help her-
“And how and why on earth would I do that?” Crsytal snapped after the voice in her head spoke.
“Because you want to get me out of your body, trust me as much as you…I want to be out of here...you are fragile and weak” Angelique chastised and Crystal scoffed.
“You just insulted me and you needed my help…that was very nice of you you know” Crystal sarcastically retorted before heading to the kitchen to herself breakfast.
“I know this is stupid but I need to claim my body and the only way I could ever do that is if you help me…please?” Angelique pleaded in Crystal’s head and she groaned slamming the polyester covered plate on the table after bringing it out of the fridge to microwave.
“How did you end up inside of me anyway…I managed to see into your memory some times…and….and what I saw; was terrifying. Someone was drawing something-
“Yes, my mother was drawing out my soul; that’s my most painful memory and it seems to be the one you saw” Angelique explained while Crystal changed the food plate and placed it in the microwave before moving to the sitting room to sit.
“Why would they do that to you?” Crystal felt sympathetic and Angelique sighed.
“You know, I can let you into my memory…you can see everything if you want to” Angelique voiced in her head again and Crystal paused, she really was so curious to know about the strange being living inside of her but she wasn’t sure if she could trust her yet.
“You can get to know the type of Angel I am by the time I let you into my memory” Angelique added feeling like she could really get Crystal to trust her.
“Okay…as long as it won’t be painful” Crystal gave in and Angelique immediately unleashed the memories locked within her soul.
“I don’t have all my memories, some are locked in my body but I wish this one here is enough to convince you that I’m a victim” Angelique spoke softly but still in Violet’s head.
“Okay” Crystal agreed and slowly she found herself being slipped into consciousness. She was shocked when she found herself staring at the baby form, she was on top of a palace, that seems to be situated in the sky since she was outside and staring down made her heart jumped. A lady, which she assumed was the queen was running around with a little girl, she seem very active and jubilant, the child had a white hair, her skin was the clearest porcelain she’d ever seen. She was young and beautiful, then the view changed, she found herself watching a young girl, the same girl…she was assured everything would be fine by her mother right before she took her first flight, then the scene changed to where she was playing with weapons and her mother insisted she stop and go play with her peers but she didn’t listen and kept playing with them, the scene changed to see a young Angelique that couldn’t be more than 12 watching the man fight, some in the sky and some on the ground, Crystal was able to quickly tell she was weird kid like her, she was interested in fighting and handling weapons rather than acting princesses.
Most of the scene that follow shows Angelique always practicing and rebelling against her mother in becoming a warrior at a very young age but before she attained maturity she was already good, she battle warriors and fought with many demons, it’s against the law the queen had insisted when Angelique wanted to lead the royal angel against the demon army, it’s dangerous, she’s young” The queen fought with the king on it but Angelique still led the man and brought him victory, it was incredible. She watched the king announced the marriage of his second wife, she seems to be very furious and the queen was in deep sorrow about it but sit only make her train harder because she was afraid to be discarded by her father.
The birth of her brother Kelsus made her life wonderful, she loved him and protected him but when she come of age he died on his first battle. This made Angelique bitter, then another brother came along, Lenious, she loved him the same way, then more of her siblings came along, but she doesn't get why the king wasn’t satisfied, she took another wife and that same night her mother was still in her room, overwhelmed by sadness, her mother was unhappy but there was nothing she could do as she watched her bury her head in her heads from the door. Angelique was furious, her father loved her mother, what was wrong with him she didn’t understand, all these Chrystal surveyed but was immediately brought back to consciousness.
“I think something might be burning” Angelique told her in her head and she jumped to go get her food in the microwave.
